In Euphoria season 2, there's a reason Maddy no longer wears her iconic rhinestones. Her makeup is more mature and simplistic to reflect her vision of the future and her positive growth. Her bold wings reflect her dramatic and confident personality, but she also wears several softer looks as she questions her idea of love with Nate, is inspired by Samantha, and is betrayed by her best friend, Cassie.

Maddy's eye makeup was blue when she found out Cassie betrayed her. Who wears a lot of blue throughout Euphoria? Cassie. This makes us see that the tables turned, Maddy is now emotional and vulnerable like Cassie and Cassie is now the "bitchy" one (if I may say so). But of course it didn't last long, Maddy came back 👏BETTER👏AS👏EVER👏. She slayed that green.
it was such a heartbreaking scene when maddy was in tears 💙 i wish we saw them talk it out in the end bc there was so much to be said ! love that maddy was strong enough to leave though ♡

It’s not well written tbh 💀💀💀 the cinematography, acting, costume and makeup is just good enough to outshine the bad writing LMFAO, not to mention the blatant sexualisation of teenagers and excessive unnecessary nudity of people who are supposed to be minors.

The worst part of watching that scene when she’s banging on the door, crying, begging Cassie to come and talk to her, saying she wants her friend back, is just so heartbreaking because Maddy WOULDV’VE taken Cassie back, but Cassie chose Nate, over her best friend, Maddy’s lost her best friend, realizes what Nate did to her was messed up, found out what they were doing, and she STILL wanted Cassie back😢
I think we all can agree Maddy is definitely growing out of that high school popular girl phase and becoming more of a mature woman

I am in love with your analyses. As a character designer for illustration, I always forget color psychology in makeup is just as important as clothing.
I never realized that Cassie's New Year's Eve makeup and nails was a foreshadowing of Cassie becoming a copy of Maddy. In S1, she had a more natural look. In S2, she was wearing gems and we all know gems are Maddy's makeup style.
Honestly. They’re low-key a recreation of maddys prom look with the little gems on the end.
I love the way the camera was on when she answered the call and she is a beautiful woman in both season yet she has changed a lot

i was genuinely disappointed with hair, make up, and costume for season 2. sure, the hair/make up artists and costume designers had their reasons for it but i genuinely feel like they fell flat (as did the whole season. flat on its face)

I always thought that since the euphoria costume and make up crew are so specific about representing certain things, that they made Maddy wear green in the last scene to represent jealousy since everyone knows green is the color of jealousy? I mean Maddy is an extremely self assured person who isn’t envious at all but it would make sense for her to be a bit jealous of Cassie since she’s dating her ex.
I mean it’s also different from season 1 because Alexa actually had some input in her makeup this season.

I found that Cassie s2 truly copied basically all of maddys s1 makeup looks but in a more washed up not as exciting way. Even the last episode copying maddys s1 mall look but of course it wasn’t that exciting or pretty. She a follower fr.
