One of the greatest controllers i have ever heard.
That controller was awesome! It's nice to hear guys who actually enjoy their job.. Where I fly we have this one controller in the evenings who just absolutely hates his job

+5Hessens plus is seems like traffic was very light at the time. So it's easier to relax

Fantastic video! Myself and a friend flew from England to Halifax NS and drove the 2+k miles to Oshkosh for the weekend and it was breathtaking! Absolutely amazing! Can't wait to return and hopefully one year fly in! ✈️. Keep up the great work!

Nice video josh! Oshkosh is truly amazing!
A couple of years ago, we flew in during mid-week, had just missed the airshow cutoff, so we had to sneak in just before the airport closed. It was even quieter than in your video. Nice and relaxing. Although, I guess there is something to be said for experiencing the full, hectic arrival at least once.
I keep coming back to this time after time
I could watch this for ever that Fiske controller is just really enjoying the calmness of the day and to hear the conversations is just such a contrast to other approaches I've seen your do into Air Venture love it!

Wish I didn't live 15 thousand kms away from OSH.
Lived in Alberta for a year in 2006 so drove there, and visited again last year but this time using the longest commercial flight in the world (Sydney-Dallas) -17 hours in coach.
Totally worth it.
Next time I come I want to fly in. (But maybe not a Sunday/Monday arrival)

You should come down to the EAA airshow in Case Grand, Arizona this fall. It's like a small version of Oshkosh
Amazing video as always! Its channels like you that inspired me to overcome my fear of flying and get into GA. Going to be starting my training this (New Zealand) summer :) Going to have to put Oshkosh on my list of things to do for sure! (Also how chill was FISK Approach :) )

Could you describe how you handle communication with both ATC & your flight? I'm curious how you handle the two, and if you ever need to verbally communicate with your flight while on with ATC.

Which LED navs did you go with? I haven't found a STC/PMA flashing LED nav light for my Skyhawk yet. Everything I've found that behaves like yours is EXP only.

OSH is only 1:15 by car for me so I never fly it, it's simply faster to drive. What a whiner, eh?! :) Love to see all the air traffic heading up there throughout the week from the comfort of my deck! :)

Nick5220 - I've needed glasses/contact lenses since I was 13 but up to this point always wore contacts. However, I was getting surgery done on my eyes the week after Oshkosh, so I had no choice but to wear glasses for the 2 weeks preceding.

AeroAlex Basically it's so they can separate landing aircraft by giving them different aiming points. Like: "Brown Cessna turning base, you are cleared to land on the purple dot."
