Man! Seriously? That’s just so cool! I’m blown away by how the bike looks now-very impressive! - these old used K bikes are easily available for sale in the US and relatively inexpensive, but I certainly wouldn’t have a clue or mechanical skills to make it look like that! 😂 Wish I did because that would be one amazing bike to ride.
Such complete mastery of so many skills is extremely impressive. I could imagine learning some of those with but it would take years of training under intense guidance. But that amount of wiring completely freaks me out - even with much experience and an electrical schematic in hand. You, sir, are a legend
This build is road legal!! That is the big difference to all those california style cafe racers. Germany has one of the most restrictive laws on modifying an original motorbike. This bike is really awesome
Indeed 😅 not easy to pass TÜV in Germany but possible. Anyhow I was nervous before the inspection you never know what type of guy will check it. Luckily everything was all right.
LG
I have seen many builds of these bikes. Your approach is both original, entertaining but also educational which I like very much. My compliments to you for this supreme series. Vielen dank!
Awesome build. I’m going use it as a template for my k100rs build. Just a question about the plastic below the seat with the spot to hold the abs (?) module: is that custom or did you buy it? Thanks for the great video!
That sir was an amazing build! Well done. I have a K75 I bought new in 1990. Do you have a list of the parts you used and sources? I would like to upgrade a few of my factory items.
Great to watch... How long do you think it took and what tips would you recommend on simplifying the electrics. Thank you and all the very best to you.
Great video, that bike looks awesome very nice build and that looked like a very big undertaking of a job itself but the end result speaks for itself, awesome final result and great video to watch very impressed ( think I want a cafe racer now lol ) top job fella 👍
I used hammerite for the block and brake caliper paint for the covers. I would recommend to search for an engine paint via Amazon and then heat it up with a heat gun. Hammerite is just too rough.

Why is the saggy butt look of the tail so commonly left uncorrected? Yes it is inherent with K bikes, but only a few seem to realize the importance of modifying the frame in this area to correct it. It is easily done with good welding and fabrication skills. The details on this build are very nicely done, but you have got to get the basics right too. The profile and the practical rear tire clearance are important basics.

Whats all the stuff you use to clean up the plastic? I see brake cleaner and 2 other spray bottles. It seems to work really well.
