When people who were not around ask about Motown… this song has everything that made a Motown hit. It hooks you from the very start. Hear it once and you know it after the first 4 seconds the second time. Great music with a party beat, easy to learn and clever lyrics, unmatched harmonies, and finally pure entertainment with the execution of-the performers liking like they are having a blast. All on a great 3 minutes of unmatched music and joy. That was Motown and it will be hard to match the decade of memorable songs, performers, musicians ,writers, and the leadership of Barry Gordy.
My husband just took me to see them on Valentines Day! We’ve seen them several times before, always with Otis, Dennis or Richard! But this time, there were only 4 of them and they just didn’t have the precision or the moves like the OG’s! LOVE these guys!❤
I grew up in Detroit. Every year in September, we would go to the Michigan State Fair. We would see Motown singers and groups for free at the music shell there. We saw, Marvin Gaye, Tammi Terrell, The supremes, Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, The Temptations and The Jackson Five. At home we were always dancing to Motown hits, listening to the radio, either in our kitchen or on our large front porch. It was so much fun. We even did the choreography together, my four sisters and myself.
I lived North of Detroit. In the 60s they had the Motown Review at the Fox Theater, all the groups sang there, Stevie Wonder was only 12 when he came on the scene.
David Ruffin had one of the best voices ever. Top-5 easily. Maybe even top 3. It was really difficult seeing someone with that level of talent go out like he did. Drugs have taken lots of young, all-time greats from far too soon. Not just David.
Fun fact I use to watch the California Raisins as a kid, so to keep me occupied my grandma would put a Temptations record on. I still love I Heard It Through The Grapevine, and can still remember those raisins in sneakers dancing even today. 😂
This is when music was GOOD music. The way that they dressed was great, the story and words were understandable, not like the yelling, slurring, jumbled up stuff from the past or today. The dance moves all moved together. 👍
Still love the music, harmonies, and the moves! Get up and dance music, even after all these years! We all sang along with the songs on the radio, kids today just don't get the same experience. S8ng along. AB - " ham and cheese" that's funny.
I grew up listening to Motown records and The Temptations are one of my favorites. They are coming to my town in a few months with the Four Tops for a banger of a show 😎☮️💖🌻
Woohoo. I love the Temps!! Such a great part of my childhood. I saw them in concert and aside from Elvis, they were my favorites! AB, you have a great voice. Do you sing in a band or perform anywhere? I LOVE your reactions. ❤❤❤

Oh this took me back to the good days. I am still snapping my fingers. Nobody makes music like this anymore.
There’ll never be another group like this. Can’t duplicate their sound
Love, an OG

Love nothing more than some good old Motown!! They don't make them like this anymore. ✌❤🤘
I highly recommend my favorite song by them, “Superstar.” It’s very high energy and it feels like Sly & The Family Stone vibes!
❤💃🏽Love it!
That brings back a lot of memories!

I was 5 years old in 1966
My fav of theirs is can't get next to you
I’d like to have a dollar for every lap I did at the skating rink to this!
I subbed. Love the reactions to my fave singer and group of all time and I’m only 33😂
Yaaaaassssss !!!💕💕💕💕💕
👍👍💯❤️🔥🔥
❤❤❤❤❤
Who do we need to beg to get XG to cover this song?
I would beg for a ham and cheese.
If you're going to do the Temptations. You have to do the four Tops also
You mean they don't play this song where you live
Have you reacted to the Four Tops . They are just as good as the Temptations
Isn’t music great!
