Yaesu FTM 500DR Unboxing - Choosing THE RIGHT Accessories

Here we are again tinkering with a new project...
The project this week is the Unboxing a Yaesu FTM-500DR, Comet CA-2x4sr Antenna, Comet CP-5M Mounting hardware and related parts. Mobile Ham Radio Setup. - Why I picked these particular components for my Mobile Ham Radio setup. Maybe it will help you when your getting your next radio. I've been a HAM for about 16 years, KC9NIF. I mostly operation of an HT but now I'm looking forward to getting this FTM-500 up and running. First as a base with a KB9VBR Slim Jim Antenna, then move it into a car once I upgrade that (the car) in the fall. Then once Mobile I'm looking forward to getting a bigger rig to try POTA here in WI.

Thanks for the note, I'm on my own HAM Radio journey, there is so much in HAM it is a hobby that can last a life time. I have a 2M antenna home brew mount coming soon too.
