I have 4 pints of the Tuscany by Amaco and it’s the same way. It came that way! I ordered 2 and they were super hard and dry so I called amaco and they sent me two new ones and they were the same way!! Just a note! That was waaaaay too much gum solution!! Please look into the amount you need to use. You want to add water to mix and then if I’m the glaze dries really fast when you test it on a piece of bisque you then want to add a tiny bit of gum solution at a time testing it as you go. You also NEED to sieve the glaze!! By not sieving it those lumps will leave very concentrated spots of glaze on your piece. I just want you to know this so people don’t think this is the way to do this. You have to add water first.
Why would there be any need to add gum, the only thing that will have evaporated surely will be just water so any gum in the original mix will still be there...?...or am I wrong?

What will the effect of too much gum have on the final result after firing?
@@mikaelak90 I’m not sure. I haven’t ever added too much.

Gum improves how brushable the glaze is and Amaco suggests to add gum so I added both to see if it improves
