@shallnot6043 with no disrespect to your comment I'm a Minneapolis kid and that's Prince's normal talking voice he's not over doing anything. This is a great video
This arrived in my feed tonight, and wow. Essential for the Rave Y2K era, the quality from the original video tapes of this interview are superb. Thank you very much, had not seen or known of this. Free means music is not worth anything. Yet bootleggers... they say, don't pay for the boot we're releasing... now, they used to charge a grip, at least the used record stores, swap meets we'd find them back then, but then it became about releasing in this case, Prince's unreleased music and performances... and then as if they owned them, HIM, really, declare, that oh, it's free. How wonderful. And they still do it. Including certain fans on social media like UA-cam. Strange But True.
Why should Prince "The GREATEST EVER" have to give his music away for FREE? These interviewers we're uninformed and didn't do their homework about the industry beforehand.
I love Prince, but the technology has changed dramatically , Prince was still recording in analog at the time of the interview , when digital has been the new way 2 record music . None the less, Prince is the man and no one can touch his shit.
That doesn't explain why the music sounded so much better back then than it does now..and all the new remasters from 2010s onward of classic songs tend to not be as good.
@@cryptozoomauler5505 Well the easiest explanation why music recorded in "analog" sounds better to us than music recorded in "digital" is simple. The human ear is also "analog." You can't fake the funk, ya dig? Blah,ha!! 😂🤣 +Peace, Funk & Rock n' Roll 4 Your Soul My Friend+ 🤘😜🤘
These 2 were probably fans of robbie or some talentless act of that time..i love when he says that kid behind his computer in his bedroom cant play!..i know if i was in front of this Legend id respect his time and company he is was the very best!💜
They should have did their homework better. They seem so missed informed. Love love Prince💜. But, Not the best interview, the interviewers didn’t seem equipped.
You can say that, but he actually took the time to answer them, rather than going "shy" when interviewers are in his face. The guys remained humble interviewing him, and it got good results!
A truly master who knows everything about the trend but doesn’t give a f**k. His “stubborn” was the most obvious thing to tell us that our generation are too shit, with no patient to learn the whole theory of music.
" all they can do is watch ", speak truth Prince.
Prince is a master of music, he knows what people can play there music own things ,
Like he's says play your own instruments
You're got to love him Xx
YES! I agree with Prince on playing with actual musicians, although a musician’s instrument can be a computer.
I think Prince was very kind to these guys. He gently got his point across that made so much sense and was very informative.
If you wanted to interview Prince, you had to be on your game. Say no more...
Right!!
Must've been pretty scary to ask the right questions without feeling or sounding like an idiot. Glad the guys got through it OK.
An overdone monotone quiet voice, and doesn't necessarily make it easy

You can tell Prince thinks these simps are not worthy of interviewing him.
Exactly 😂😂

Yes he looks annoyed

@@TMFTheMusicFactorynope it was done in nov. '99
I met you February of 2000 🥰💜
thanks!
That was a little awkward.
Brown pants was nervous and unprepared
pedik Kerkorov
Prince looks annoyed having to talk to these knuckleheads!
He looks like he's drugged 😢
Seriously though, why else would he let them play with him.. they wouldn't have a chance if they sucked. Dumb question lmao
Display no ignorance
this young little punk coughed in Prince’s face, such disrespect 😑
Who are these simps?
Stephen & David Dewaele aka 2 Many Dj's aka Soulwax
I thought it was bevis and butt head
Bad interview. These guys are idiots. Prince was a philosopher with his art he created
Que obsoleta se ha quedado está entrevista sobre la cuestión de usar tecnología para hacer música...
