SSL697 ~ Unbox therapy
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 лис 2023
- Today on Tech TIme we unbox several new additions to the portable power station and solar generator market, including generators from BougeRV, Pecron, Foxtheon, and the latest from Jackery, one of the longest standing names in the industry! I thought you might enjoy actually unboxing them with me to see what's inside each package as we receive them, and then I'll follow up with more detailed reviews in the future.. any questions you'd like to ask about any of them, feel free to leave them in the comments section below and I'll do my best to answer!
Cheers,
Captain Rick

I love Ricks tech tips! Let’s go!
Get well Rick! See ya soon.
Captain rick putting out the vids. Tks always enjoy them.
My condolences to Cap'n Rick's family and friends.
Great video!
I get the feeling Maddie and Rich are gonna need a bigger boat...........not to mention storage for your toys.
Some of those honestly look like they are produced in the same factory with some minor exterior changes with a different name.
Thank you, Rick, for the amazing review of the Foxtheon iGo1200 Solar Generator! We greatly appreciate your thorough feedback and insights. Your support means a lot to us. 😄
Hopefully you have time to test them all looking forward to the results.
Nice reviews.
l love tech time with Cap......Thanks Cap Maddy and baby Ricci😇🥰 👍
Old Shoe🇺🇸
@ 15:35 I 💯 agree. Those should pop out from the top of the expansion built into the top and the mother one should open up for the female on the bottom then when it’s stacked, it’s plugged in. I can see including that for back up but there needs to be a male/female built in plug together solution
How much more stuff can you fit on that boat soon you will need a barge following you
Cheers.
Interesting but sad the cables can't be tucked in but good they can connect to many things thank you Captain Rick
Hello Capt. Rick to bad a poor guy like me can't afford that kind of system i been checking diferente prices on those but man it must be nice to have that kind of money. Anywsys thanks for sharing the info.
Living in south East Florida I am in the market for one for our house in hurricane situation. I am listening 👂 Captain. ✌️❤️🌞
You found your parrot, How long was she gone and how did you get her back
Where are they? I have not seen any new videos for 2 months now. Concerned.
I kinda feel like this is an unboxing channel with occasional sailing...
Where are you finding room for all of that!
Pawn shop after the test 😏
With all the lithium batteries on board keep the fire fighting equipment in good working order.
Your content is not already sailing but collecting all things and no more time to sail and the beauty of your boat is look like a garage selling place im just concerned since we are watching you since then but you are stocked up there in san andres or around that place
Did you do a show on the starlink system?
A long time ago, but now we've had it onboard for almost a year so I was thinking about doing an update on our entire internet and networking system.. would that be of interest?
Yes, I'd like your thoughts on starlink, performance and costs involved. What areas are starlink available?
How is lithium batteries made? What earth materials are mined to make the batteries? Is the mining eco friendly ?
The mining is definitely not friendly.
China is only in Africa to strip mine all the Semi precious metals for their millions of batteries. Google the child labor force being used in Africa to get these materials, like cobalt, to make them.
Early xmas
almost! Lol
😎
Awesome stuff, it looks like santa came early 👌 Super 🆒️ 👌 👏 👍
I think you can do with bigger boat or cat, hopefully one of the manufacturers will offer you one for Xmas 🤞🤞🤞
✌❤☘ 🌬⛵
Omg more power Banks energía.
These are the way of the future for many of our viewers out there looking to slowly remove themselves from being married to the grid.. and these are plug and play! :)
Wow, Jackery has come out with some new stuff. I'm gonna have to check it out a little closer. I have a jackery 500 solar panel. No thanks for the tip Rick.
No problem, enjoy!
Looks like you are buried in batteries. How great is that!
for me is a great privilege to have a valued opinion and be chosen by so many of these companies to test and review their new tech! :)
So what happened to the hurricane hopefully passed by without damage
Hey man..long time viewer. I always wondered what you do with your trash ?
His friend Daniel has a liquidation store on shore selling ricks shipments
So when does this become a Sailing Channel again?
AND
Please tell what’s happening with your voice. The plan if there is one.
Thanks
I have always been much more than just a sailing channel.. and my voice is in a holding pattern right now while we wait for a surgery date, and permission from immigration to remain in the country long enough for recovery time after the surgery.. I'll do an update on this shortly to let everyone know. Thanks for your comment!

Much appreciate the response and wish you well with the surgery. Waiting for the update 👍❤️
As far as the sailing goes …. For many reasons it’s been YEARS Now since you’ve actually sailed & explored and the Solar just Dominates the content. To me …. Me …. It’s just boring as the boat now resembles a Sub-Power Station and Junk Boat. Anyway … I wish you well and I guess I’ll satisfy my exploration itch with Delos while I await your sailing.
@@SailingSophisticatedLady
Also I truly enjoyed the Historical Content of your explorations. That’s what I’ve missed most.
Sophisticated Lady is too heavy to sail . I can't remember the last time they went on a proper passage . Little Ricky is about 3 years old I think , so it has to be before that . They went to Panama once for about a week but returned to San Andres , dropped the anchor never to be pulled up again . Now Rick is saying he is waiting for surgery and will do recovery there so I don't think it will be anytime soon . I'm with you on the boring content . I don't even know why I watch anymore . S.L. Has become a houseboat not a sailboat . Sorry Rick , I'm just not into it .
Capt. I wish you best of luck 🤞 with your upcoming surgery. Having watched SSL for awhile now, I am concerned that your content has wondered away from its original purpose, sailing the Caribbean and hopes of moving over to the Pacific for more adventures.
As of this viewing 11/13/23, this video only received 1K 👍 and 47 comments. I Guess you’re making your $ on the battery techno electric ⚡️ reviews and perhaps sales to San Andres business and support from the battery 🔋 companies. The electric stuff being the “flavor of the month” is absolutely no comparison to the sailing ⛵️vlogs we enjoyed, heck your subs and patreons purchased the boat’s engine, as I recall. Hope you get back on course soon…
Again good luck 🍀 with your surgery 👍
It’s been a while it’s been a month so I was just checking to see if everything’s OK I don’t know what else to do it but go to the last video and ask the comment section. Does anybody know what the hell is going on?
Is he ok
Blimey you’ll start selling electricity back to the San Andres at this rate. 😂😂
ecco flow has a battery that c charges faster I forget the name of the battery type Ecco flow uses but if you need a faster charging battery …
👍👍👍👍👌🙏
😀👍👍👍❤
Who comes up with these names? Trying to brand the same stuff over and over. Guess what? You are just buying the same stuff with different packaging. The components are pretty much all the same simply because no one is going to bother to make different circuits for the same job unless you are talking about special applications (military etc…). And specs are absolutely unreliable and obviously written by people that don’t have a clue about what they are looking at and it’s not getting better because the public is too lazy to figure it out (I am being nice here).
Rick gets them for free too review I AGREE with you all from china with made up names
So rick, is there something I can do with my five hundred watt jackery inverter wise? Is there an inverter? I can attach to it that can up my wattage so that I can say use a blow dryer or a coffee pot. Or something like that?
The one I am testing here now is the new Jackery 1000Plus, which can supply over 2000w continuous from its built in inverter.. as long as your solar panel is within its rated voltage rating, you just plug it in and use it to recharge the Jackery every day.. a coffee pot is no problem, it will likely run a hair dryer also, but is that really necessary for an emergency backup device? Lol
