Whoop's went off to his channel before yours was finished, I thought it was over. A shame that the color one didn't work out but this one is also a great looking sign. Good luck on your adventures, I have subscribed to follow you.

I have to admit I'm jealous I would love to have this opportunity the knowledge that Eric and his dad and Vicky can give people is not only inspirational invaluable but necessary in order to put on a nice sign. and I have to admit I like the idea of using the layout letters in a sign it does give it a real nice look

Perhaps the music should have been "The Eyes of Texas"- Jon has a very good, steady hand - If you are going to get between the camera and the project, the least you should do is have an ad pinned to the back of your shirt...- Seriously, another useful addition to the videos, particularly your back and forth with Jon, very nice video! Well Done!

I can only echo what the others have said, Jon did a great job on the sign, looks terrific. I was also very impressed with how much you helped someone else to learn the trade and your support of a friend. I have been watching your video's for about two weeks now and loving them.

Fantastic! I love it and I love the idea of using this skill to get him where he wants to go.
By the way Eric, I liked it better when you just quieted the sound instead of using the music when the router is running. You did it in part of this video like around 20:00 but I'm talking also about your older videos where you did it all the time. Just one guy's opinion.

Great looking sign Jon. It looks better without the colors in my opinion. I admire your goal to hike the old rr trails. We have a number of these trails in se
ga. that are great fun to walk. My wife and I walk the nature trails in state parks in different parts of the state. My wife is in her middle 60s and I am pushing 76 so we do"nt walk more than a couple of miles at one time. Uncle Arthur is always tagging along .Eric as always is a great inspiration to everyone.
Keep up the good wok. I have subscribed to Jon's channel. Talk to you on Friday Eric.

Of the many videos that I have watched, I particularly enjoyed this one because it was an opportunity to watch Eric teach someone the finer details of how to carve signs. The end result was quite impressive, so, great job! By the way, the interlude with your pet pig was hilarious and a nice touch to the video. I hope I get to visit some day from Canada to meet you guys in person.

Eric, something that may help new carvers is... After tracing their lines, go back & thicken them. This gives some fudge room if needed.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I’ve been making signs (for family and friends) for a couple of months now. I’ve made my own acrylic bases (with handles) for 2 routers, and now I’m experiment with the “raised letter” effects. I’ve used most of your hints on the types of black primer to use and spray on polyurethane (wow, what a difference that made). I’m still getting my techniques down but I am getting better. I wish I could send you the last sign that I made “freehand” to get any pointers. At any rate, keep up the great videos and thanks.
