  • Google Maps in Data Studio are highly customizable and integrate with any data source that contains valid geo fields.
And most importantly People like map visualizations because they are easy to grasp, visually appealing, and entertaining.
Maps are widely used to highlight particular regions that are notably or specifically different from others regions, as well as it helps to demonstrate trends over numerous locations in a single piece of visualization.
And you should think and ask either yourself or you can ask me What is a Filled Map ?
So let me tell you: The Filled Map allows you to plot your data over geographic areas, such as country, state, and ZIP code, appearing as shaded regions on the map.
This simply means each shaded region on the Map is plotted based on its geo coordinates, which is known as latitude and longitude. The density of the shaded region represents the value of the chosen metrics; The higher the value, the deeper the shade or color is, and vice versa.
So the next question should be in your mind that How Filled Map Works?
Filled Map, or in general Google Maps chart, allows us to visualize location data in Google Maps. And Based on Data Studio Documentation, each Google Maps chart consists of 2 layers:
background layer: displays Google Map interface
data layer: displays data as filled areas, depending on the configuration.
In Data Studio, we have the luxury of controlling the presentation and appearance of the map charts, such as the color theme of the base map, size and color of the bubbles, and many more!
All these configurations are available within chart properties, which we will find more when we will be creating it in this video

      HI @Hamza Tariq,
You can add multi polygons to add layer but you have to make sure that the Geospatial field can only be applied when using BigQuery as a data source that has geography data
