I am so excited to come back to this! I've been wanting to try out this map for a while and needed a shorter tutorial than the one James has.
EDIT: oh wait, how do you add icons?

Can you put together a tutorial on making an animated map of migration over the world over a timeline? If that makes sense. Like for example, a family story of how three irish brothers immigrated to different continents in the 1800's and where their subsequent families spread out from there.

Whenever I try to connect the GeoJSON URL I get this: An error occurred loading the geojson file. Could you maybe help me?

Hey! This happened to me too. So what I did was change the repository visibility to public so the graph recognized the link.

Hey Fernan - Quick question: how do you convert your points file to polygon in geojson? This is a timely video! currently working on this as well and your video has been helpful. Thanks for that.

hello sir, this one is really very important and learning video. Love your all video relating Power BI. I would like to ask one question, is there any way where i can show the bubble based on the size of metrics as well as the geojson/WKT boundary at the same time with this icon map?
    thank you

I am having trouble visualizing the maps in the PBI application. I can see the maps in PBI Desktop, but not online. I believe Icon Map should be Pro so we can visualize them online. Do you know of any solution for this issue? Thanks!

Are there any limitations on the number of polygons the iconmap can use? I am working with a hexagon grid of more than 87000 hexagons, and cannot find a suitable visual. Hope the icon map could do it. Any advise?

Thanks so much for this! I think I followed all of the steps properly, but unfortunately, when I add the ID to the category and the size, it doesn't show me a map. When I add the coordinates to the latitude and longitude, it will show me circles on the map, regardless if I turn on the Geojson in Power BI. I'm probably doing something wrong, but I can't discover what. My file is 116kb, so it's not that big.

Hi @SolutionsAbroad is it possible to add multiple custom layers using Icon Map? I have multiple polygon layers I need to lay over a base map (I'm using some of the Mapbox background layers) and point data (from the data I loaded into Power BI) to reference different locations and target areas. For instance, I need to bring custom target areas and zip code boundaries and have the ability to adjust their line, fill, and transparency properties. If not, do you have any recommendations on how I could achieve something like this using Icon Map? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I want to insert the row into table but again depend on to some condition like I have 4 different conditions. If condition 1 satisfies then insert 2 rows exactly after the row and if condition 2 satisfies then insert 4 rows exactly after the row. Simply I need to check this for each row

    Hi, Fernan.
I have been trying to do the same thing with well known text (WKT) format to display multiline string representing a road network. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, but if you can help that would be great.

Hello, I hope you're doing well! I was wondering how would I go about adding more things in the tooltip when hovering over an object in the map. I want to add things such as the City and State to display when hovering.

If we make a Power BI report using the ArcGIS map, (question) Do we need to purchase the ArcGIS subscription as well in order to embed that power BI report on a website?

Hey, really appreciate the video :D How can I add a colour gradient based on a value assigned to each polygon? I have values from 0 - 1 and I would like to colour the polygons from light to dark. However it does not work for me, because I can not use the value to format the polygons. Only an aggregate like Median, Number, etc. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
I'm getting a CORS error likely because my company has some settings enable that does not allow the use of external URLs. How can i make it possible to that the geojson URL is approved between my PowerBI and the API location?
