Its like watching & listening to Johnny Cash & June Carter together back in the day. So sweet, sich natural chemistry & talent. I LOVE her voice & Paul's backup vocals.
Beautiful song and tribute to Willie. Superbly performed here. One of the best. I would like to note Willie did not write it. It was written and recorded by Scott Wiseman in 1939. Scott said his parents had a fancy old cup with the words remember me written on it. They kept it on the dresser and the kids were not allowed to touch it. Scott said when he left home for the first time he felt home sick and wrote this song. It's been recorded by many over the years 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍Lone Wolf :)
I just found this. What a beautiful job they did! Edie has a great voice and Paul, well, what more can be said about the great Paul Simon? I love his singing, but more than that I love that he has so much class onstage. He steps away from the mic and lets his partner have the spotlight. I love that about him.
Wow ! Loved Edie's guitar pickin. She's such a treasure, and Holy Cow..... Paul Simon ! Paul Simon, with and without Art Garfunkel is a musical artist that I couldn't possibly imagine the 60's, 70's, and on...... without. His impact is immense.
Love me some Paul Simon. I was more into hard rock in the 80s, but Edie stole a piece of my heart, love her stuff, especially "Good Times", which if you remember was a video on Windows 95.
Written by Scotty and Lulu Belle Wiseman. Their most famous composition was "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You"."Remember Me was a hit for T.Texas Tyler, and it became is theme song.
@Sonny Dave. Close but not quite. Used to fall asleep Saturday nights listening to the National Barn Dance out of Chicago on clear channel powerful signa! WLS, "The Praire Farm Station". Scotty told the story behind the song many times. He wasn't feeling well and was in his sick bed. Lulu Belle came to say good night and as she was leaving she said to Scotty " Have I told you lately I love you?". Scotty couldn't sleep anyhow and thought those words were a great song hook. Scotty wrote the song that night. Next morning, he was feeling better and sang the completed song to Lulu Belle. If there's radio recordings of the NBD you can probably hear Scotty tell this himself. The song's writer credit is solely Scotty G. Wiseman.
I just told my wife that I am surprised they have not done more together. I would love to sit around in the back yard with these two for a night and just listen to what they come up with.

Edie's voice has improved a lot since their first record. She's more on pitch and doesn't so wasted which is a good thing, though that was a 90's style.
Paul has off the charts stage presence. I love how he steps back to let his wife shine.

They are so wonderful together, they should perform together more often.
First time hearing this beautiful song. And Mr. And Mrs. Simon team up wonderfully.

I thought sure Paul was going to do the solo. This is such an amazing performance! Thank you both so much
No love for Edie's spot-on guitar solo in Willie's style? I smile just thinking about it.
She botched the end of it. Not much for spot on.
I wish Edie and Paul would make an album together ~ There are a few songs available on UA-cam already these 2 are pure gold ~
Don't forget Mickey Raphael's harp...gives it that authentic "Willie" sound..

"Remember Me"
The sweetest songs belong to lovers in the gloaming
The sweetest days are the days that used to be
The saddest words I ever heard were words of parting
When you said, "Sweetheart, Remember me"
You told me once that you were mine alone forever
And I was yours till the end of eternity
But all those vows are broken now
And we will never be the same except in memory
Remember me when the candle lights are gleaming
Remember me at the close of a long long day
It would be so sweet when all alone I'm dreaming
Just to know you still remember me
A brighter face may take my place when we're apart dear
Another love with a heart more bold than free
But in the end fair-weather friends may break your heart dear
If they do sweetheart remember me
Remember me when the candle lights are gleaming
Remember me at the close of a long long day
It would be so sweet when all alone I'm dreaming
Just to know you still remember me
Just to know you still remember me
@@ageingtrucker Thank you! Check it now!

The crowd should have stood up!
Precise
Edie's voice has improved a lot since their first record. She's more on pitch and doesn't so wasted which is a good thing, though that was a 90's style.
That is not Mickey Raphael on harmonica ?????!
Pretty
She's excellent without those New Bohemians from way back when...
I simply do not know how he does it.
Paul can only harmonize with Art unfortunately. Their voices are intertwined in DNA
Is it a thing among famous men to marry much younger women?
Paul with his daughter.
