And this is about SSKs.... We didn't even talked about SSNs and SSBNs.... 4 arihant class+3 S5 class+6 SSN(p 75A)+1 Akula class SSN... Total 14 nuclear powered subs.... Total number of subs = 24+14 = 38 subs

We should have 30 Submarines in our fleet at least to counter China. Where the configuration should be
1. 6 Nuclear attack Submarines
2. 6 Nuclear ballistic missile Submarine
3. 12 Disesl attack Submarines with AIP system
4. 6 additional light weight Submarine for underwater surveillance and reconnaissance mission.
If we achieve this target, our Navy would have unmatched power in Indian ocean, although China have 78 Submarines

My question to is if the scorpion class submarines will be reffited with our own AIP system then why do we need to go for p75i we should just order more of scorpion class subs and just scale up the model for next order with VLS and brahmos missiles why go such lengths to buy another class of submarine from another nation which will cost differently??

China 100 ya usse bhi jeyada submarines fleet ke liye banayega. USA ke pass bhi 70 ya jeyada hai. to us hisab se humare pass minimum 50-60 hona chaiye, ye mujhe laagta hai.

Kalvari class की 6 +3, p76i की 6,sindhughosh class की 8 और shishumar class ki 3 ,कुल 26 submarines, अगले 15 साल तक हो सकती है, लेकिन इस बीच 6 से 8 submarines decompression भी हो सकती है. Atah हमें कम से कम 6 ssn और 6 ssbn submarines को अगले 15 साल में अवश्य बनाना पड़ेगा, जिससे हमारे पास कुल 32 के करीब submarines हो जाएं.
सरकार इस विषय पर अवश्य सोच रही होगी. जय हिन्द 🇮🇳 🇮🇳

I'm disappointed with this submarine purchase. They had many years to plan a transition away from foreign subs, yet the Indian submarine program is still a big zero, even worse than the LCA program where we are many years behind cutting edge. I want to highlight again, two aspects of technology: (1) building point technologies like AIP or AESA radar etc... and (2) building an effective overall fighting platform by integrating these point technologies. These can be two parallel development efforts. With our submarine program, we have neither. Even where a program is not close to production quality, the DRDO should be running a shadow program where they are constantly developing one or two prototypes, and this should be constantly funded on a different budget than the main contract from the armed forces to buy a certain number of planes/subs/tanks. In India, the lack of a purchase from the armed forces means that even the shadow effort on building prototypes is being blocked - makes no strategic sense.

MDL has capability to produce 6 sub per year and l&t make 12 new conventional disel-electric submarine. It means 18 suarine was on the working stage.

Can F35 act as Stealth AWACS ?
Not true ! Its a stealth fighter and that AWACS claim is from a defense expert who cannot differentiate between L band X band radars

I was curious because it is said F35 can spot targets Upto long range & with its multiple sensors it can produce a 3D detailed battlespace image ( also called Battlefield awareness )
( Another point is AWACS will require Fighter jets to protect it in War scenario whereas as F35 is stealth & if it is not in range of advanced enemy radars it will be undetected )
So I thought can it perform same function as AWACS ?
@@couragecowardly3741 AWACS with either L band and S Band Radars can detect aircrafts at much longer range. What F35 does is basically IRST with stealth

Itana hawla hai...
Idrw yesterday reported that the Indian Navy will start the evaluation process of U-214, S-80 and KSS-III by the beginning of 2025. For that Navy officers will visit OEM countries and see the demonstration of various features. Once the evaluation process is complete, negotiations will start with the winner on contract terms.
Long things short, P-75I submarines will be ordered just before 2029 General Election. So what an efficiency and concern for national security ! Probably that is why three more Scorpenes are being ordered as a stop gap.
By 2029 new technologies will appear in the market which means new bids and re-evaluation of those, a la-Rafale. Without govt to govt deal we are not getting first P-75I before 2040. Even that may be in limbo, because once first Scorpenes equipped with desi-AIP roll out, the narrative will shift to indigenous vs foreign maal. Just as Rafale MRFA for Air Force looks to be in jeopardy.
2029 seems a stretch...deal will be signed in 2-3 years from now and worst case scenario first sub will be available by 2030....besides don't trust idrw so blindly....also there may also be a possibility of P-75I being straight up cancelled and 3-4 more Super Kalvari being ordered following this order and the focus completely being shifted to P-75A and P-76....which is for the better.... doesn't matter what possibility turns out to be true....As long as a decision is made in some direction....which it is being made by our Navy....P-75I is not going the MRFA way.....
We should also commission lighter and smaller submarines which is very effective in stealth attack or surviallnce . Swedish subs have proved this in war games against USA's aircraft carriers and even surprised them that how effective it can in a real war scenario

Our prime focus is to dominate Indian Ocean region and counter Chinas growing naval presence in this region and for that midget subs could be useful for stealth and suprise attack

All three navy airforce army were literally ignored and scrambled by upa's spineless defense minister who kept the files for modernization plans abd request for arms as a pillow to sleep verywell while in iffice.
