    📽️ Movie: Hacksaw Ridge (2016)
Thank you, everyone, for your words of kindness, support, honesty, gratitude, generosity, and thoughtfulness, this means the world to us.
We are here to educate, entertain, and inspire you.
Our prayer goes to those who are married for more peace, love, and understanding, and for those trusting God for a life partner, don't give up, and with God it is possible.
We hope to create a community of people of integrity who will share their own marriage secrets and love experience, on what they did and are still doing to make their marriage and home work has soon as we get monetised.

Absolutely perfect comment this is what we should do is love and have compassion and empathy for eachother❤ Bring back the nuclear family unit and real marriages that actually keep their vows and grow old together in love through all the years so we can die and go to Heaven together and God can be happy with us and we'll have the best eternity ever after that we'll see all the truth we couldn't figure out during our lives. You are a good man for making your comment it's literally perfect and I can tell you have a great heart of gold and my Soul is of the best and purest silver so I can finally heal all the trauma and toxic that I've held on for so long and finally be born again and full of The Holy Spirit. Thank you for being such a great man, I subbed so fast you're part of my circle now gotta surround yourself with good people so we can build and grow in the best possible way❤😁💯 can't wait to find my significant other and get married hopefully sooner rather than later, be safe be kind and God bless all of you🙏💯❤

Met a beautiful young woman in NYC. She was working in a restaurant. Walked out an hour later and called my Mom and woke her up to tell her I just met my wife.
She wasnt happy I woke her up. But one day she met her. Instantly loved her.
This summer it’s 21 years married.

My biology teacher asked his wife to marry him on their first date. She said no so he called the next day for a second date, to which she agreed, and said, and I quote "I wanna be honest with ya Leah, you can say no every time, but I gotta keep asking or I'll kick myself for not giving my all every day I see you." And I know that's a quote bc he called his wife on our first day of class to prove himself with a proud smile lol
Edit: she said yes after 2 months and they had been married 47 years when I was his student
Edit: it was consensual. She told him to "keep on trying" bc she liked him but wasn't in love (yet) and they laughed together everytime she said no. There is a difference between consensual flirting and harassment. Pls stop calling him creepy without even knowing the full story and pls stop being incels and using this as some rediculous "evidence" that women want to be harassed.

Love at first sight is real. I went to visit a real good friend of mine and she wasn’t home, she was gone and wasn’t coming back soon. Her parents were and since I had nothing to do at the time I stayed there. My friend’s parents owned a little mom and pop store and I was helping them put stuff out when this girl came in, she was also a friend of my friend. I saw her, she bought her stuff and left, she didn’t even notice me but my friend’s parents told me that she did see me and they started laughing and I was so confused and they told me I was going to marry her, not even 15 seconds after this girl left. Been married to her 30 years now and have 3 wonderful daughters together.

Met my hubby in the military. (I was 20, he was 21.) He was eating pizza in the dayroom and refused to share with me. I accused him of discrimination against me for being Black. (He had already reluctantly given my blonde, blue eyed friend a slice.) He was aghast at my claim! How we got from there to dinner at a steakhouse I don't remember but 35 years later... here we are. He's the best thing that ever happened to me. 🤷🏿‍♀️😉

They actually met in church. While the film shows his beliefs it omits a few bits - he was Seventh day Adventist, met wife in church, a Japanese machine gunner who tried to shoot him for hours. Mel dialed it back because he didn't want to be unbelievable. Desmond is the only person who I now as person and an icon/ statue. He volunteered for an agency I worked for. Met him and 2nd wife. His first died in a wreck as he was taking her to hospital. I never asked about the war. It took a toll on him mentally and physically.

I met my husband when I was in 10th grade. I thought he was really cute. Fast forward to when I was 19 about to be 20. I met his sister at a friend's house. She gave me his number. I called him and we talked til about 3 in the morning. I told him that I used to have a crush on him. After we got off the phone he turned to his brother and said, "That was skinny Rose. I'm gonna get with her." My brother in law said, "Get out of here." We got together, got pregnant with our first baby and got married all within 8 or 9 months. We were married for over 38 years til he passed away. I love and miss him with All My Heart. He truly is the love of my entire life. I thank God every day that my wonderful husband chose me to be his wife. 🥰😍😇🙏🏽

My husband and I knew almost right away we would get married. Didn't even need to talk about it. I was 18 and he was 19. 21 years and several kids later we're still happy as can be. My parents met at a New Year's party and danced the Twist. My mom had to leave early to pick up her boys, she'd been widowed when they were little. My dad spent the rest of the evening asking their host about the pretty woman he'd met and my mom wrote a letter about it to her mom. Her parents met when grandma got stuck climbing through a fence and grandpa found her, and told her he would get her unstuck if she went on a date with him, and they were married 3 months later. Had 7 kids, my mom being their youngest. He died when my mom was 7, and my grandma raised those kids alone, lived into her 80s, and never married again.

On our first date, he said, looking into your eyes makes me want to do brave and stupid things... Next day he told his sister that he was going to marry me.. we got engaged six months later, and married a year after that... We've been married for over 10 years now...
I CANNOT believe this is called 'simping' today... I'd take this over the sh*t that passes off for dating these days!
Jeez! Did NOT expect so many responses!!
    Ok, some thoughts -
    1. Being nice, kind etc to a woman (or any person really) with the expectation that they then have to fall for you is absolutely wrong. No. Be nice and kind by nature - to everyone...
    2. Getting angry, bitter, frustrated because a person you treated nicely did not reciprocate your feelings is how teenagers react. Grow up. You shot your shot. It didn't pan out. Respectfully move on!
    3. If a person has made it clear that they aren't interested in you romantically and that makes you want to put some distance between yourself and them, do so. You are allowed to feel dejected and protect yourself from further hurt.
    4. And if someone is being nice to you and you know that they are doing it in the hopes that you fall for them, don't lead them on if you don't see a future in it!! That's cruel and abusive!! That's taking advantage of someone who is trying to be good! If you hurt them by using their feelings for your advantage, you will leave behind a person who doesn't believe that being kind and nice is a good idea...
I think that covers my thoughts on the subject...

    • @ThoughtfulPotato
      @ThoughtfulPotato 5 місяців тому +1

@@natoslayer2907 I genuinely don't get this... And I'm not attacking you here. I've heard this being said before and it genuinely befuddled me... because I believe that a good person is a good person, irrespective of how others treat them.... My husband said/did romantic things for the girls that came before me. Some of them broke his heart pretty badly. He didn't suddenly decide that he's getting taken for granted and become an @sshole... He just did what he did because that's who he was... Still is .. I didn't take him for granted, I married his ass as fast as I could! I too have had my heart broken a few times by some really terrible guys... But I didn't become a man hating, serial dating cynic who uses guys for free meals... And I have seen soooo many examples in my life where people have gone through hell, been treated like crap but are still genuinely amazing humans and have benefited from being who they are... This whole thing that someone behaves like a d*ck because otherwise they get taken for granted is a weak excuse for being a shitty person I think... If 'simping' means being a kind, attentive, honest, loyal and appreciative partner, i highly recommend it!

I used to walk home from school down the street my husband and his family lived on. His Mom told me that he was watching me walk down the street one day and he turned and asked her, “Isn’t she the prettiest girl you’ve ever seen?” (I only lived one block over from him.) His cousin was dating my sister’s best friend at the time and he got my phone number from her. When he finally got up the nerve to call me summer was over but it was still warm outside. We finally met in September 1990 and we’ve been together ever since. 30 years of marriage this year.

Husband saw me singing in a youth event while he was the photographer. He introduced himself when I got off stage. Met him again after 2 years in church camp then lost contact. Another two years and we met on a going away party of a common friend. He sat next to me and this time asked for my number and if he can come over to cook lunch for me and my family. He then asked permission from our pastors and our parents to court me. Two weeks into dating, he told our pastor that he's going to marry me in a couple of years. We have been together for a decade. We moved overseas after marriage and have been having adventures ever since.

Hacksaw Ridge is more than a movie about sticking to your principles in the face of danger. It's an example of choosing to do good despite the difficulties of life.
I know many folks are feeling lonely in their personal lives. Desmond was born into a bad place, in many ways alone as well.
I hope folks will see that being in a bad place doesn't mean you also need to badden your inner self to survive. You can choose to be the change you want to see in the world and the right people will respect you for it.

      here's how I did it:
make a list of the qualities you want in a partner.
make a list of the qualities you want in a relationship.
Don't write any negatives, such as "I don't want..." Only write what you do want.
Fold up your paper and put it away.
Then truly give it to the universe and forget about it, let it go. Go out and be happy, live life, stop "trying" to find that someone, and it will happen without you realizing it when you truly let it go. It may sound crazy. but it works.
I have now been happily with the man on my " list" for 14 years. We met, went on a date the following weekend, and have been inseparable ever since. When you know, you know. So be clear on what you want, and then let it go.
