When you buy a pair of shoes, literally hundreds of other peoples feet could have tried them on, including walking around in the shop, damaging and putting marks on the soles. They can even get scuffed if they’ve been on the shelf for ages
You're right, for a normal shoe store. This one looks like it's high end so no not a lot of people are going to be trying these shoes plus some stores have different return policies
The writers tried to make us feel empathy and solidarity with the plight of this family. All they did was reinforce every negative stereotype that happens to be true.
I honestly sided with the clerk in this clip - because I've been in his position when someone like her attempts to return a piece of jewelry after it's been worn... despite our store's final sale policy, with the only valid exchange being for any damages after 7 days. And the exchange was only for in-store credit with a credit note. This was 100% effective in deterring situations like this. People are cheap and try to pull fast ones ALL the time when it comes to an expensive piece of clothing or jewelry.
I’m not surprise if this method is actually used by high end top brands for clothing, shoes, or accessories like purses. We’ve all heard of those situations where people will go out and buy expensive items so they can wear them for an event to show off then immediately return them (with the hope nothing gets damaged). While some accessible brands will accept the return, high end brands are still needing a sense of exclusivity. If they allow returns regardless if they had been worn, they lose money and also reputation. It’s one thing to try it on at the store, purchase, try it one again at home to get a different feel, change mind and return it. But to purchase, wear it out or an extended period of time (or times), then try to return it is another story.

The moral of the story is to implement a policy to review the client's social media activity for signs of use before accepting late returns of dresses and shoes. This helps ensure that items are returned in sellable condition while maintaining fair customer service practices.
Firstly...i have to wear them to know if they fit or not. To know how they look with the rest of my attire. If your policy says 30 days or less..whether i wore them or not, you give me my money back. Unless explicitly stated in your sales policy.
Kinda reminded me of a customer trying to return a guitar with sand on the inside and said he never took it to the beach, he said during the conversation he was a known musician so I searched him up, first picture I found was him playing that guitar at the beach
Your thinking of a face selfie. Selfie doesn't mean a pic of your face, it means a picture that you took of you. It just has to have your face in it. Ppl do fit checks all the time in vids and pics
If it comes out of your commission check you would. I work sales. You better believe I’m going to do anything short of illegal to make you admit you broke it.
Returning it exactly after 30 days screams the fact she has worn it or at least showed off somewhere. I would be suspicious if it exceeds 50% of the duration either.
She should sue them if she's never worn them because chances are the what he's claiming is a lie and even if that's the case on the bottom of the shoe it wouldn't be inside of the shoe so he's a liar and take him to court better still tell him you want to record him saying he's refusing to take it back and you want that in writing. And then you can sue the store and make a fortune.
Look y'all I didn't see the show so I wouldn't know I've only seen this clip and frankly I've dealt with people who are pretty much the same never wore the shoes and try to give me that bologna and usually when you confront them and go so far as to say okay we'll take him to you know somebody who does forensics and have them see if my DNA is in there and when they find there's no DNA I'm going to sue you they usually back down... I didn't see the show I was talking about what was going on in the clip, so don't pick on me for not knowing that okay I haven't seen the show I was commenting on the clip if you've got a problem with that go bother someone else.

They should have that listed on the receipt as a disclaimer. And sometimes you wear shoes a few times, walk around the house and find out they hurt or don't fit. Never had a problem returning them. I would look at the some of the outside not the inside of the shoe. Because even if you walk across the street once, you wear off the tread.
He did this character very well. You can see the arrogance because she is obviously not rich or "refined". He looks great. At the same time he is polite, smart and absolutely right.
That actually wouldn't hold up in court because most cleaning and other things also glow under a black light. Like you can say to the judge you met their terms and it's a he said she said. They have no actual evidence of you wearing it.
I had watched the full clips for this scene in another videos, but the next conversation made me shocked, when the man gave "alternative solution" for that girl.
This return policy is a double-edged sword because while it’s good that you can return your stuff, it also means that you may get a 2nd hand item even though you buy a new one.
It’s a common practice. My wife used to work at a fashion store, women would buy a dress on a Friday and bring it back on Saturday for a refund, rinse and repeat for Monday. If it was obvious that it had been worn then a refund would be refused.
You know, that's fair actually, if they go back on the rack like that it could be a health concern for other customers with blood, fungus or other bacteria left behind. Not to mention it's not fair to the company when you're basically borrowing their products. If there's a defect then yeah they should accept it as you'd probably get a lot more use out of them if they weren't damaged in some way as you'd be buying them with genuine intent to keep them. But I knew a lot of girls at prom who "borrowed" their prom dresses which were worth a considerable amount of money just to return them the next day basically getting them as free rentals. It's not okay. You can try something on and test a pair in most stores and return if there's a problem like blistering, pain, discomfort or something is broken on them. But if there's nothing wrong with the shoe it shouldn't be the companies responsibility to pay for it.

@@materialgirl7364 ok but why do you have Karl Marx on your pfp ... everything's alright.??😭
The look on her face got herself confused 😂
Online seller does not have these privileges. Customers just return it after misusing the product or after specific use
Kinda reminded me of a customer trying to return a guitar with sand on the inside and said he never took it to the beach, he said during the conversation he was a known musician so I searched him up, first picture I found was him playing that guitar at the beach
How would you see shoes in a selfie? Haha
Your thinking of a face selfie. Selfie doesn't mean a pic of your face, it means a picture that you took of you. It just has to have your face in it. Ppl do fit checks all the time in vids and pics
Well she is going to flex those shoes in her picture
Selfie stick
He is dressed like a ceo in a show store...
"No but, sir. Your this is wrong"😅😅😅😂😂
"BUT THE TAG IS STILL ON"
"OH SHI-"
no employee would ever give this much of a fuck
You haven't walked into a luxury brand store?
If it comes out of your commission check you would. I work sales. You better believe I’m going to do anything short of illegal to make you admit you broke it.
Go to a high end luxury store and they will
Yes but im this case man just wanted a BJ or she would make her pay for the shoes so believe me, he gave af
If youre care about that extra plan of yours that come from the commission at the end of the month, you would.
He ended up telling her if she gave him a blow job he'd return it
You clearly failed life.
You have never done that, and you never will. Your just plain dumb.
@@blowc1612 why because I won't put up with the kind of crap that people put up with and get taken by a holes like this one, or because I haven't seen the TV show Shameless and don't know the rest of the story I don't I'm basing what I made my comment on on just the clip if you don't like my comments you don't have to answer it.
That "oh shart" look after he brought up instagram 😂
They should have that listed on the receipt as a disclaimer. And sometimes you wear shoes a few times, walk around the house and find out they hurt or don't fit. Never had a problem returning them. I would look at the some of the outside not the inside of the shoe. Because even if you walk across the street once, you wear off the tread.
I used to do this for high end shoe and suit company. It doesnt always go as smoothly as this lol
Normally the shoes been brought and it cannot be returned
Sir I tried it on in the store 🙄😒😑
I just had nausea and internal bleeding 😒
I support him wholeheartedly❤❤
Saying 'You can tell all that?' sounding like she's been caught and with the evidence in front of her then going 'your thing is wrong' 😂
Blood😮
That Instagram look up, took me out😂😂😂😂😂
Her face when he said i need to check 😂
Bro is a forensic investigator 😅😂😂🤣
Scaring the crap out of us "Take back queens" !🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
When he said I will check your Instagram, she became brainless 😂😂
got her ass violated exposed and humiliated and she’s still trynna go 💀🤣
Reminds me of Carrie in 'King OF Queens'. if anybody remembers. That episode was hilarious! 😀
She had it down to a science! 😂😂😂
Love the acting. Wish this is true to life. 😎👍
Daaaaamn, he got her with the Instagram 😂😂
For those saying that workers wouldn't care to look at the shoes havent been to high end stores before. This is very common.
"You can tell all that?" ....she gave away herself😂😅
He knows her too well 😂
He did this character very well.
You can see the arrogance because she is obviously not rich or "refined". He looks great.
At the same time he is polite, smart and absolutely right.
This guy is Shoelock Holmes 😂😂
All stores have a return for any reason policy and will always err on the side of the customer to avoid incidents where they could lose customers.
That little gadget will save so much money and trouble to stores.
This return policy is a double-edged sword because while it’s good that you can return your stuff, it also means that you may get a 2nd hand item even though you buy a new one.
Not only would a retail worker not care, the shoes would be like this just from being tried on or sitting on shelves lol.
Bro is the vice president to the regional manager
It’s a common practice. My wife used to work at a fashion store, women would buy a dress on a Friday and bring it back on Saturday for a refund, rinse and repeat for Monday. If it was obvious that it had been worn then a refund would be refused.
average walmart customer service employee
