I did not comment before the end of the vid, for a 47 year old Trans Am has held up very well in the test of time. When you have a young lady that walks up to you and said of how much she love these cars, that tells you of how these cars are still looked for today. Nice price, nice Trams Am, for I do not need to say anything more, for the car speaks for it self.
My 70 1/2 Trans Am was my all time favorite. I've owned 63 split window stingray, plus maybe 40 misc cars back in the 70's / 80's. Thank you for today's video.
I wish I had the money. Beautiful car. Most cars with artwork look garish or unnecessary, but the golden phoenix on a black background is iconic. Dashboard was finished properly and good grief, the interior looks new. Paperwork galore and all the documentation to cover the matching numbered V8.
My older brother owned a brand new one with the T--tops .Brings back memories riding around with him with Molly Hatchet blaring on the 8-track .Pretty sure we saw Smokey and the Bandit at the drive--in in it when it came out .
I had that car, bought it with my own money when I was 18. I'd like to at least drive one again. It was pretty gutless for HP but the handling on curvy roads was fun. I miss that dash.
@@mateomercado9936 total difference.. the coyotes do not need any work to be streetable and even showable... maple shows legit affordable good cars at good prices... is like comparing coyote to vanguard and their pricing.. those are literally turn key show cars that will win with no work and have no blemishes or 100-200k restomods sold for half of what the resto costed..
My friend inherited one. It was his dad's. He sold it not understanding what it was. The guy immediately had the motor taken out and stored, and put in a built Pontiac 455 with what he said was " considerable " more horsepower.
best TA i've seen here. seen some blue on the front wheel flare. rust holes under hood drives side. still great car. whomever painted it, was done to thick. if it only had T-tops and leather. still a fun car to drive. thank you for the video.
My old man had a Camaro Berlinetta with t-tops and they leaked, it was a common problem. You're right though, there's products available to help fix that issue though.
Nice car but the center console that has a cupholder is not stock. The're is a factory installed 8-track tape player. I remember those velour seats. Cool car and thanks to Smokey and The Bandit sales of Trans Ams really took off.
Owned a 1980 with rare ,302 tops chrome exhaust, valve covers ,electric blue repaint with all the decals. Paid six sold for six was shippped to Miami from Boston. 15 years later my friend found it in Orlando for 24g. What a car
Actually, the ‘77 Z-28 with its 350 put out 225 horse. These were more like 250-275 HP. I had the Z-28, and those Trans Ams would walk away from me, and I won a lot of races with other 350 cars.
I went to high school in the west valley of los angeles county in the late 1980s to early 1990s. There were no guys talking about this car for whatever reason. They only talked about new and old ford mustangs and chevrolet camaros. There were no cars like the pontiac trans am from the 1970s in the parking area that I could think of. Is there any reason for this or does anyone know why that was the case. It just seems strange that these have gone so high up in value today. It just wasn't a car people thought of or talked about, that I could remember. For those that were into driving at least.
Back in the early 90s a neighbor of mine restored a '77 T/A all black except it had a tricked 455 Buick big block that was a beast. Someone made an offer he couldn't refuse & then bought a '79 T/A T-top all black that was trashed. He pulled the drivetrain out & installed a tricked out 455 Olds W30 then finished refurbing it. Another beast that he kept for quite a while. Great memories of one of the coolest gearheads I ever knew.
I bought one of these in 1978 mine was blue 12,500 dollars brand new. My dad had to co-sign for me cause I had no credit. He told me you miss 1 payment its gonna be his.
1977 403 olds vs 400 Pontiac both 185 horse power. They say the Pontiac 400 is the better engine. Both good engines. But i heard the 350 403 442 and 455 are the same block. true ?
Lol😂 I literally sold a car exactly like it with t tops for 30k last year and had people from 5 different states asking to view it. Sold in 2 hours for my asking price
Yep the car is worth more than that actually, thats why we had the same thing happen. On hold and sold as soon as it was listed. People been calling all day wanting it, but hey what do I know lol
@LoneRanger-lc1ym I bet so - now if you didn't grow up watching Smokey & The Bandit then your to young to understand what this car is to ppl also for me it's a Legendary Car, you can call me punk or whatever but just note you can always upgrade an engine etc etc learn don't hate boy.
they where dogs for horsepower.i drove one for 3 years to a bodyshop cost me 50 a week in fuel back when fuel was cheap 40mns each way babying it.and a state trooper got me for 62 in a 55 he gave me a lecture how i coulda killed someone lecture.as im sitting in car with my masters gm bodyshop shirt on he was a idiot
The true 6.6 Pontiac engine 400s were rated at 220hp....but were tested by several magazines and even nhra back then and found to be around 260-270hp and around 340tq. Considering this was the late 70s and it was bogged down with smog garbage, that's more than respectable. This was the fastest domestically mass produced car in 77-78, even faster than the corvette...and if you took all that smog garbage off and opened up the exhaust, it became a pretty damn quick car. We had a 78 solar gold with the w72 package, and it would sit your ass back in your seat with the best of them. The ones with the Olds 403 were hot garbage though....couldn't pull a sick whore out of bed...lol
Those were the days. Noticed the single exhaust? These were about the hottest car to get in 77-80 there weren't many cars from those years that could touch it.

Great job conversing with the spectator that just wouldn’t quite talking. You are kind and you are honest. Good qualities! God bless!
35k crazy days.
ive seen some sold by Coyote Classics go for High 40's Low 50's
You can get a good 4th gen Trans Am for less, BUT this baby is Iconic. The '77 TA is pure Americana, like the '57 Chevy Bel Air and the '67 GTO.

Such an iconic car, everyone loves a black Trans Ams. Too bad its not a T-top car. Love it!!

T tops are fun
If leaks get new seals and use t top locks.
Exactly it's not hard to maintain at all

i had same year silver with red bird low miles i barely got 4500 for it in the 90s with new paint
pretty car though they where just underpowed with vacumn hose nightmares.mine had the 455
One of my top favorites
True duals would open up the sound real nice
Year One did one a few years ago and it's killer.
Looks like the car has been hit on the passenger side at one point at front quarter panel and door

God I love those F-body cars.
If they made them new today I would buy one.
Ready to cruise right now get in it and enjoy the cruises this summer
Freakin Love it!!!❤
People might not like the price, but they are bringing it! If it was a real special edition it would bring even more.
This morning I saw the awesome blue Chevelle, now I just saw this video. Man, I’m going car crazy!
Best one ive seen for this price in years
Smokey and Bandit edition. My favorite car. I guess summer is coming i notice there is multiple people out...
Very cool, hard to find and unbelievable it's still choked out with smog shit, I think all I would do is ditch that and ride out
Does it have the 411 posi. I had both 77&78: black with t-top's one with 400and other 403 . The pin strips seem odd??
Horn does work here it all the way from Georgia

Who in the right mind will pay that price
A whole lot of people in this world cause the car sold instantly & I’m looking at 9
Backups on our board asking us to skip the guy who bought it.
Saludos nick desde guadalajara jalisco México super video y super carrazo ❤

Nice! Clean underneath too

My friend Craig had that exact car.
Beautiful cars on your lot. Reminds me of the good fun old days. Love to buy one. Soon.
Way too much money for that car worth about half that!

Classic.
They put 3 different motors in the 77 TA my cousin had one with 403 Oldsmobile motor
Bet this sells fast

"What the hell was that?"
"A left, or a half of you."
Very clean and I. note it has the desirable WS6 rims. (same as my 78 did) Did you wear the hat to commemorate Burt Reynolds?
Does the 8--track still work ?
I was so happy when cassettes came out.
Hated, HATED 8 Tracks.
Could never find the song I wanted to listen to.
You have a backup light out on the driver side bro 😹.
Those cars were fun back in the 70's when I was in high school. Now, I'd feel odd driving around in a car with a big bird on the hood.
You can deliver it with a big red bow as today’s my birthday 😎
Makes me wanna drive all summer long
Just like I like them - without the T Tops! Was this one originally black/gold?

Got the big chicken on the hood. This was a cool car way back
Nice hat. "East bound and down. Loaded up and truckin'." Does Frog come with it?
Are you talking Nelson, Rick Nelson's twin sons that formed a band?
I'm surprised it doesn't have T tops
The T/A bringing the T&A
😂
🏆Cool Ride🏆
It's a shame those cars didn't make more power, maybe 185-200hp. When you put a Phoenix on the hood, it better breathe fire.
I slapped a phenix on my 87 olds and I gained 35 HP.

Loved it always wanted be the bandit
Nothing like american muscle
Thats an Olds 403. 77 Trans Ams with autos were 403's. 4 speeds were Pontiac 400's.
My buddy ordered a 4 speed & it came with an Olds 403.
It’s a Pontiac motor
That was 79 for the Olds I think

That’s not an olds 403. 403’s had an oil fill tube at the front of the motor.
