In 1987 I went to look at a used 1895 Buick Regal on a Saturday morning at a Buick dealer. Regular Regal, 34,000 miles, 2 years old. $8999. I needed a car that fast since I was going back to work that night and my junk 79 Camero was headed to the junk yard. I signed the papers for the 85 Regal, got it for $8499. While I was waiting for them to get it ready I went to the New Car Showroom. In the middle of the floor was this Beautiful Brand New Black Grand National. Sticker was $15,700 Brand New 1987. I didn't know it was such a special car, I just thought it was cool looking and new. Told the used car guy, forget that 85, I want this one. It's brand new. He said "To late, your loan and everything was approved and signed for on your 85. I was kinda piss** but couldnt argue cause I had to get home. Wish I would have went by the new cars 1st
Only on Colder days. 40 degree or less 0 to 60 4.9 seconds. They are kinda horrible in the summer unless you have alcohol or methonal to cool the intake.
It's a nice ride ,needs a nastier exhaust on it and blowing smoke while revving ,these are getting hard to find nowadays they will definitely shit and git though.
@MapleMotorsMuscleCarsNickSouthgate 8:01 I believe this GN has the beautiful SS ATR catback with their Pitbull mufflers. You can see the blue oval ATR sticker at the bottom of each muffler under the dust. This is my favorite sounding exhaust on a Turbo Buick. Looks like it could have a leaky rear main seal which is unfortunately pretty common. These cars love the cold air and really come alive when the temperature drops down to the 20’s or below.
Most guys that own these cars run drag radials. Almost goes without saying that you need a sticky tire or you're just going to spin. And drag radials still look really nice with the stock rims. Nice car!
If you never drove one they are a blast they make you drive fast for 103000 miles is in good shape guaranteed someone took care of it should be good for another 100000 as long as you don't beat it to death
Considering that I'm 41 and facing a job loss, I'm reviewing my financial plan. What investments should I make with $425,000 saved for retirement, $10,000 in an HSA, and a property that could generate me an extra $250,000?
VENTURING into the trading world without the help of a profesionals, trading and expecting profit is like turning water into wine you would need a miracle.
My wife is willing to work for another 5 years if needed. Are we in good shape? Will we be okay if I begin withdrawing from Social Security when I'm 41 and my wife is 40? Should we hire a financial planner to help us navigate this?
These are crucial questions for a financial planner. I met mine at a NYSE summit, and with her help, my wife and I reallocated our $1.7M portfolio between a traditional IRA and a brokerage account. She's been making investments with our approval and has helped us recover twice our losses. We're holding steady and carefully navigating more markets
Is it time for a career shift or should I consolidate my investments into a single account? If I go for the latter, how do I do it right, and what could be the drawbacks? Plus, with a $200K property sale on the horizon, should I combine my investments or diversify them across different markets?
1 thing you left out, is she a 4.3 V 6 and we need that info in order to tell the difference of the 2 of the day. So please put this in your description today. For it makes the 2 description a long the way, for what V6 is in it a long the way. For there is a deafferents of how this car performs.
One of 20000 made. 547 of those were gnx Kendrick lamar car. The reason the x's were made was because of the top selling dealers got 1. 500 were made at first but then the additional 47 were put out
These cars are the American equivalent of the 86-87 Holden VL Commodore turbo in Australia. Same era, similar money, turbo 6 engines, which are both still cult classics
Now you’re hitting home. When I was 13, I asked a local repair shop owner for a job. He hired me for $75 for 3-4 days a week after school. And 5 in the summer. He turned out to be an ex-con that used to mastermind bank robberies. After he served a long bid in the Feds, he used his stash to buy the shop and he had used cars much like your business. He drove one of these, which I only ever saw once or twice a month to detail. He had to pick it up from a new tire installation and he needed me to drive it a few blocks behind him in a straight stick F100. I hit the gas too hard and was weaving back and forth into oncoming traffic for about 4 seconds but felt like a lifetime. I would tap the pedal after that until I slowly pulled into the lot. I don’t even think he yelled at me,he was in such shock 😂. So this car is on my bucket list. Kendrick Lamar just shot the value of these up again with his album release GNX.But I’ll see you some day for mine. 💪🏾😎
Cool ride i remember a local idiot had one ..beat it to death unfortunately. I see the side fender grand national emblems are not there? That baby is burning an leakiN OL She is nice but she needs some better makeup an some serious mechanical love an she will be back on top .
My friend has one , bone stock, rarely drives it. Anytime you see a gauge pod on a GN it’s been driven/ raced a bit . Rear ends are the weak point on those cars, needs an Eaton Posi/ 373’s.
LOL, I had a friend that was a car salesman in the 80’s and he had one of these for a demo. We took it to Tulsa international drag strip with the dealer tag and price sticker still in the window 😂.
MapleMotorsMuscleCarsNickSouthgate 20:26 On my old 87 GN I dented my hood closing it like that. If it doesn’t close by the momentum, after that I just use my thumb, index & middle finger on each hand (left and right side of the hood) and assist it on the way down so it latches. I was so pissed when I dented my hood. It happened pretty easy too. Anyway, that is a beautiful Grand National there and I am sure it will go real quickly.
Thus is not worth the money its not a fitys sixtys or early seventies classic its a watered down version of hyper bolic technology thats no where near the classic car era
80s cars in general will never compare to 50, 60s or 70s cars lol I'll agree with you there but it doesn't make it any less classic. It's still a classic car.
i love it when you have a buick turbo on your lot to show
I used to go to a local 1/8 mile drag strip around 1989 - 1991 and seen a couple of these race against big block cars, they held their own.
Gorgeous. But I’m holding out for t-top version.
I own a grand national GNX and I will never sell it! 😳

This car has had a repaint and once the bumper fillers start to go they go fast!
Here's the 80's sleeper! These GN'S are bad ass sleepers! That little V6 can put a lot of V8's to shame! It'll sell quickly
driver side seats torn up,no radio?
Thumbs up everywhere you go ….puts a smile on your face
I believe, 0 to 60, these were the fastest American made cars in 86-87.
Only on Colder days. 40 degree or less 0 to 60 4.9 seconds. They are kinda horrible in the summer unless you have alcohol or methonal to cool the intake.
The only V6 I will ever own thats a race car. Its really looking in good condition for an 87. Should go fast
It's a nice ride ,needs a nastier exhaust on it and blowing smoke while revving ,these are getting hard to find nowadays they will definitely shit and git though.
From what i could see this is a great deal on this car . The smoking should be checked out closely tho .
It’s not a great deal! it’s not original ! Brand new they went for $16,500
I still kinda wish they put a V8 in these.
They didn't need it, and still don't
@ Turbos are garbage….Back then and now
If you are a car guy everyone wants a grand national i believe.
Kendrick Lamar 😅
Facts
Nice car. But that smoke scares me
It's below freezing there. l
What was the displacement of that V6 of the day ? Yes there were 2 of the day and which one that happen to be.
It is the 3.8, it says so on the dash @ time stamp 1:52

Yep. I have cheap Hankook tires. Almost like rolling on plastic.
If you do all the right upgrades even drag radials won't hook up.
What kind of print do you use for your hoodies?
O to 60 better than the Corvette that year!
Until Buick was asked to cancel production on it because of the Corvette.
we know already
Love the Buick Grand National, but never liked the Jiffy Lube logo they put on it.
This car might have the upgrades to keep it close to the x models power and ifin it was an x it would bring in close to 80,000$

Consulting a financial advisor is a logical step at this point, but postponing retirement could be a wiser decision

These only came in 3.8
Should sell VERY quickly!
Great videos, Nick.
Thanks!
At 30k ? Absolutely
Very nice car inside and out but she is smoking a little bit probably internal
Man I wish I had a grand national But they're so hard to get your hands on these days it's crazy
That rear needs a axel seal asap
I'm in love. This was the ultimate car for us gen xr's. I'm noticing an oil leak near the oil pan?
Yes on the horn 🤞🏻
If i hit the lottery? I’ll take it!
Grand National ... Any GNX's pass through your lot lately?
Those are rare
Sell it with two packets of mustard, then everything will be complete
Those bumper fillers will collapse after awhile. Mine lasted a year after i got mine. Spool fool makes great fillers.
I wish!!!!!
Vin diesel drove this car in fast and furious (2009)
Yes they were faster than the vette then!
Great car! Runs nice. My dad had one back in the day that ran awesome as well.
Somebody gotta do it.
They were also called Corvette killers!
Until GM had other ideas.
Click it or ticket- workaholics😅
very cool ride ...check the brake fluid looked crazy low
Make sure you put in 93
Kendrick lamar influenced this
It’s probably already sold, especially if it’s all original at that price
Nah he only influences kids to buy cars. Real car guys already know about this, it's nothing new.
This car has been popping way before Kendrick Lamar lol

My next purchase will be at your office! No BS.
Funny speedometer only goes to 85
With 55 mph highlighted. The 80's were a wonky time for cars.
❤️❤️❤️
Dream car 100%
This one won't last long...

Is this a T type or a real GN?
Good question.

You are mistaking the GN for the Monte SS.
my dream car at one time.
Owned one in 87,Car was alot of fun!!
Looking back wish I would of kept it.
Still own an 87 and a 92 gmc typhoon. I love my turbo GM cars. Very fast modified.
