I’m so annoyed there is a weird sound issue 😕 Hopefully it won’t diminish your enjoyment of this incredible and interesting (and hard to pick) Lock 🔐😃👍
The type of safe to which one of these is attached is operated by a set of keys, usually three or more, with the last one actually turning the bolt. Each key is turned a certain number of clicks to set the combination.
Lock Noob getting in all kinds of 7 & 8's there 🤣 I suppose though could say you almost pick it like a tubular lock. Great descriptive picking, and a thank you to Tallen Pick for supplying the lock. Great lock!!!
Having used a safe with this type of lock I think it was either 1/2 or 3/4 turn. I wouldn't want to pick it in place as the lock was set deep in the door with a long key. But very interesting to finally see inside the mechanism.
What a great video my friend. This lock is absolutely superb and see how to pick & gut it has been just awesome! Thank you for sharing this great lock!
Very cool to see a truly unique lock in action like that. The audio didn't seem bad at all, though I'm watching in my car while I wait to pick up a box of 12 Abus 72/40s 😉. Fantastic video/learning experience!
All the actual gates appear to be in the same place, so you could probably use 8 tapered knife picks, shoving each one down as far as it needs to click that lever into its gate one at a time until you have all 8 knives in place, then you can turn the whole thing as much as you want
I live in a flat. And so does the dude above me. We both have a very strange key each. Both our keys can open the front door but we cant open each others flat., but we can open our own. A key smith wont copy them. So the challenge to you sir is to pick them. The chap said he cant copy them because its illegal. but its like to know for educational purposes.
The reason why a lock smith won’t copy the keys is because they are part of a master key system. It’s probably not illegal for them to copy it but it’s a good idea they don’t as the lock belongs to the landlord. Watch this vid for more info ua-cam.com/video/XhHb7q0QJ_k/v-deo.html
@@LockNoob Well I was up to nothing fishy. I'm just about awful at looking after keys. A lanyard has looked after that problem for me (little merch tip for you there ;). But I was wondering as an aspiring locksmith (no one trains a 30 year old man so i'm teaching myself). How togo about this? thank you.
Awesome video and great great picking, it´s not easy at all to pick this lock. I´m happy you have fun picking it my friend. Love the tensioner you made, I will copy it, the ones I made don´t work properly and in a confortable way. Thanks for showing my friend ;o))
A fascinating lock! I guess that's as good as I'm going to get to see you have a lock explode on you (just having a couple of springs pop up is it up to par for the "old" Ash I knew).
@@LockNoob Thank you for the honest reply. Finding all the springs is fine, just knowing that they shot out all over the place makes me feel so much better! lol

Do you have any idea what caused the sound issues?
Daniel Jaworski yes, it’s a loose usb connection :-(

Very interesting thank you 😊
Wow that is a beautiful variation of the typical pump lock where you push the pins like in a tubular lock.
Great video !
Thank you 🙏

Yes, in situ, it would pose a harder challenge for sure 👍
Very interesting lock indeed. Thanks for explaining this one.
Thank you 🙏

Yes, in fact that’s pretty much how the decoder picks for these locks work 😃👍
What an interesting design, some great content!
Thank you 🙏
@@LockNoob No problem Lock Noob!
geeze, a thief could grow old if this thing has to turn 2 full turns, on an immobile safe.
You are right there! 😃
Great job, never seen that lock before. Well done
Thanks 🙏

Thank you for sending this Tallan. As always, you send me things I think I’ll never learn to pick but I preserve and the rewards are always huge 😊👍🙏
@@LockNoob I´m glad for that, it´s my pleasure my friend, cheers! ;o))

Off camera a week ago, I slipped and sent all spring flying. It was really late too and I was far to tired, but I still found them all :-)
@@LockNoob Thank you for the honest reply. Finding all the springs is fine, just knowing that they shot out all over the place makes me feel so much better! lol
very cool Ash mate never seen on like that before🇬🇧👍👊👊😎😊
Thanks Leon!
