I honestly would choose this over any kind of Audi SUV. Beautiful car.
The city fuel consumption is exceptional. The interior feeling is a dream, classic with modern touch just where you need it. Beautiful car inside and outside, I really like it. I'm curious about the highway consumption.
Mine can do under 6.5l/100 km at 130 km/h, eco mode+cruise control. It's actually better on highway then other full hybrids because it can run purely on internal combustion (which is more efficient at higher speeds than ev), but also because it can switch to EV at speeds up to 130 km/h when there's battery energy to spend. It's a very clever drivetrain
why does it sometimes use around 17 litres when going downhill at just 50 km/h? Because the engine starts to charge the battery? Shouldn't the recuperation immediately stop and charge again when going downhill and the engine only charge the battery when going uphill? Otherwise, the fuel consumption in the city is unbelievably good. I'm amazed at how often it drives in electric mode. Thanks for the video. I was looking for something like that 👍🏽
Probably it makes more sense to keep the engine running and limit the frequency of shutting it down and spinning up. Also, the control unit may decide that recuperation is not enough and it needs to replenish the battery faster.
