Why the McLaren P1 is a Marvel - APEX:60

Building a successor to the legendary McLaren F1 was never going to be an easy task. It wasn’t just the fastest production car on Earth (a title it kept for more than a decade) or an exercise in advanced materials, it was also comfortable to drive, a rare quality in supercars of that era. It could play heavy metal or jazz, leaving some big shoes to fill.
Fortunately, some very clever people work at McLaren and they set to work building “the best driver’s car in the world”. Their efforts were unveiled the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, where they debuted the production version of the McLaren P1. Once the press got their hands on it, word was out: McLaren had done it again. Like the F1 before it, the P1 uses advanced technologies to create a driving experience that is unmatched. Click play to learn more.
