  • So this is an update from my last video. I did hear back from the paralegal team and they basically told me that parallels is no longer able to service any cameras due to the bankruptcy. If any of you guys are currently a paralenz customer keep this in mind because if you have an issue with your camera then you will be out of luck.

Is it the battery that fails or software?

In my case I believe the seals failed which allowed water into the camera. The camera software is fine and I much prefer the built-in color correction over a GoPro or the Osmo action lineup, because the colors that the paralenz produces are more natural, and automatically add the necessary red or magenta into the video to make everything look more like you saw it with your eyes.
The battery that is in the paralenz is unfortunately not removable, which to me is somewhat of a drawback because you can’t switch the battery between diving or different activities. However, the battery does last me almost through a two tank dive. If you already own one, I would use it in until it dies , but if you’re looking at buying a paralenz, I would skip it all together and go with a more relevant action camera with the Dive housing because GoPro, DJI, and even Insta 360 are not going anywhere.
I would still be using my paralenz if the camera housing wasn’t so defective and caused the leak. I really did like what the company was doing with their cameras, and there is not a better camera for diving in my opinion. I also use a GoPro hero nine and it takes amazing high resolution videos, and it has higher frame rates, but the amount of time I spend color correcting my GoPro videos could be used elsewhere.

@@divesoflo thats to bad! I have one, but a friend of mine works on all electrics and made loads of flooded dive equipment. Whenever you are in europe or willing to send it off we can try to fix it if you want. Upgrade the type of battery etc… if mine dies ill give it cpr with new parts as long as possible…

Thank you for the offer. I’ll have a think on it.
