I'm an H-pipe guy all the way. The performance differences are negligible at most. So all thats left is the sound differences. X's have entirely to much glass shattering rasp.. H pipes have a deep, bass like roar. It's all personal preference tho!
completely disagree for the coyote platform having longtubes and an H pipe in my opinion sounds terrible. for other platforms maybe but for my 5.0 guys full exhaust with an x pipe will forever sound amazing h pipe has zero tone and sounds all over the place.
I don't know if the Flowmaster Scavenger Mid Pipe or the MAC Prochamber should be called X-Pipe. Seems to me they are in a class all to themselves, a much better class than a H or X pipe.
From a personal standpoint i had and h and switched to an x on my GT and both were offroad versions. Feedback I got from people and my thoughts the x with 40 series flows sounded like crap. X sounds better with a magnaflow or another straight thru design not a flowmaster. X did however give it a little more go than the h pipe.
Hi I have the SVE Exhaust its pretty deep , I mean a very nice deep tone. I have the stock H Pipe with Resonator Deletes. I would like to throw on the flowmaster Scavanger XPipe, would it still keep its deep tone a bit still or will it just become all around raspy screaming like a banshee??
Does the X pipe make it pop and crackle less on shifting or deceleration? I have a 13 GT stock exhaust with Roush mufflers and the popping and crackling makes me melt inside, I'm more concerned about how the X would change that, the volume doesn't matter to me as much
Kara G definitely more pop and crackle. I personally do not like rasp but a little pop is good. I have a 2013 Roushcharged 5.0 with kooks longtubes and hi-flo catted x, muffler and resonator delete. It screams brutally loud and clear with a few pops when I let off.
Jeff Smallwood Thanks! I think I like the idea of a hi flo catted x, I think if I get another vehicle I would love to try the Roush stage 2 supercharger, just a bit afraid of breaking the car. I still have factory exhaust except the Roush axle backs, your car must be addictive fun!
My 2012 GT has the Roush axle back and when I put the Ford Racing X pipe on the rasp vanished. It doesn't pop and crackle anymore on deceleration anymore.
Could you please explain more I just purchased this x pipe for my 2014 gt/CS it has the corsa quad mufflers and I’m hoping to raise the volume with this x pipe. Did I buy the wrong one I can still do return so no big deal.
@@Pepper-Jack doesn't sound like you have much choice on the Mustang. The box will still sound better than an H pipe. Anyone who says the H sounds better has a crap rest of the exhaust...or a BORLA...LOL. They sound like garbage on EVERYTHING.

The Kansas Dude I couldn’t agree more
The Kansas Dude I agree fully, I have an MRT H pipe mated to Magnaflow comp exhaust
An h pipe and some flowmaster original 40s on a fox body.cant beat it
Two completely separate pipes sound even better.

I went with the H pipe on my '18. Like the deeper tones over the rasp. Love it and can still quiet it decently with the active exhaust.

X always comes before H. Everyone knows that. That is a beautiful system though
HPipe on any American Muscle car. Leave the Xpipe for European cars.
Oh...so all of NASCAR is European then?
X-pipe on 5.0's. H-pipe on 4.6's. Just my opinion.
Barsa F yes
Agreed
🗣️ BIG FACTS!!!

Borla ATAK 3'' cat back W/ X-pipe .. ! The way to go..!
H-Pipe for my S550!!
They cut my E8 off my 2014 so I only have the bolt heads to do...
Imo the h pipe sounds better...x pipe will make a little more power.

That sounds amazing
Does this fit on any long tube headers?
What about a prochamber vs an x pipe?
Do you need to get your vehicle tuned after installing an x pipe
No because it doesnt make any modifocations to the engine or computer. Anything modified after the cats wont require a tune.
H pipe the world
H-pipe all the way, sounds better...
Ford performance X pipe all day!
H pipe on ohv or sohc, x on dohc
Does the X pipe make it pop and crackle less on shifting or deceleration? I have a 13 GT stock exhaust with Roush mufflers and the popping and crackling makes me melt inside, I'm more concerned about how the X would change that, the volume doesn't matter to me as much
I believe it would make it much worse..
So it would pop and crackle more? Cause I love that haha
Kara G definitely more pop and crackle. I personally do not like rasp but a little pop is good. I have a 2013 Roushcharged 5.0 with kooks longtubes and hi-flo catted x, muffler and resonator delete. It screams brutally loud and clear with a few pops when I let off.

According to Engine Masters and their dyno that makes 2hp at peak. Spend your money elsewhere
X pipe or nothing
The scavenging is way better with an x.
Pffft. Single exhaust all the way.
Except...that's not an X pipe. Its a scavenge box. Sound is much different.
Could you please explain more I just purchased this x pipe for my 2014 gt/CS it has the corsa quad mufflers and I’m hoping to raise the volume with this x pipe. Did I buy the wrong one I can still do return so no big deal.

Giver, anything is better than stock.
Neither. just two separate pipes from the engine to the end.
