I remember when I was a teenager before the change everyone had their girlfriends carry their stash because there were very few female officers and if they got pulled over they would not search women's bra or underwear. So we'd put everything there lol. Police caught wind and so started just detaining women for crazy amounts of time while they waited for a female officer. Now they can give consent to be searched by a man or wait for a woman. Most think it will look sus if they refuse and do not want to wait for an hour so they just give up their right. I was a heroin addict for 10 years in the US. All of this was very relevant to survival lol
