I could never have enough of Christian Gerhaher, the best baritone in the world. His beautiful and elegant style turns anything he sings into gold. Undoubtedly, one of the best Counts Almaviva, beside Thomas Allen.
The harmony between the voices and orchestra is among the most beautiful in
music.

Mozart, is my emotional processing and therapist in one. The beauty in the end of this scene is my biggest source of heartbreak at the moment but also the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard
Not a fan of modernized productions, but I enjoyed the singing and orchestra ^^
Olga Kuchynska and Christian Gerhaher are two of my favourite classical singers and to see them in one production is amazing!

Gerhaher is a phenomenal Almaviva. Also I may be biased (gay) but making Cherubino apparently flat out a lesbian is a strange but not unwelcome directing choice.

per le opere diciamo buffe (ok, buffe in quel senso artistico particolare, non sono solo comiche...) l'updating mi sta anche bene, per quelle drammatiche no. Non tanto per i costumi, quanto per le impostazioni sforzate che non rendono il senso della trama
Hanno fatto di peggio con un'opera di Vivaldi. Lì ci sono davvero personaggi con la tuta... da pompieri.

Opera is not about having a good voice. I think everyone can be impressed with the opera because of the world view of the time when it was composed. Costumes have a lot to do with the world view. With the suits and modern dresses of those days, there is no fragment of the world view at the time of composition. The stage of the old opera was wonderful, but why did it become such a terrible production? Mozart will be disappointed in heaven.
You should rethink this comment. What you're saying is you didn't like it. Seeing as you're not Mozart or even close, you shouldn't speak for him. Especially not the chastise someone
