I would like to have a Grom later on. I have had R1, R6, Magna, and others.....I got the big KLR 650 and even though it is the slowest it is BY FAR the most fun! Grom is on my radar as well.
Good video! I sold my grom a couple years ago. Regretted it from the minute I handed the pink slip over 😔 I only have my ruckus for now. Miss ripping around on the grom, debating whether I should get another one lol. Community had grown so much here lately
If you ride bikes all the time for everything, and you have the space for more than one bike, a 125cc just makes sense. Both for a poop and a chuckle, and for practicality. Obviously 125s have such good fuel economy, are cheap to run and maintain, you can still ride down the road to see your buddy, you can still carry a bag/box full of groceries. And you can ride it like you're being chased without violating the law and putting yourself in unnecessary danger. Not to mention, you're not putting pointless miles on a bigger bike. Like if you have a sport bike, you want to enjoy that on highways or even race tracks, if you have an adventure bike, you want to use that adventuring, not going to and from work/the shops/around town.
The oil sight glass and oil filter are musts in my book. I paid about $300 to add that to my 2014 Grom. Then i spend even more and had a fun day of work to replace the frustrating 4spd trans with a takagawa 5 spd. The bike finally works correctly. Those things are the reason, if I had it to do over again, I would get the latest model and reap the oem benefit, without a bunch of unnecessary wrench twisting.
Just followed bro. Love your grom. I wanna get a ninja 500 as my first bike. But groms seem so awesome for the money. Just wish it they went 80 to 100mph
do you plan on going to the big small bore events? there is the smokey mountain small bore at the beginning of june and also the barbers small bore event the weekend before.
Im thinking of buying a honda grom to commute to work, i only live 15 min away from my job and would love to ride there, my only concern is getting it stolen as i live in a second story apartment. Any ideas of what i could do to avoid getting it stolen? Thanks Also great content especially for new riders like myself, trying to understand the aspect of riding and all that goes with it
I’d say a chain lock while also locking the steering (I made a short about that) should work. Also you can use an apple AirTag and put it under the seat. Appreciate you watching glad the channel can help!! Get you a grom!!!
it will still get stolen no matter what. i had mine fully locked up at a public park, i was away from it maybe 20 minutes and they just picked it up and took it. this was before airtags or gps was common but i did end up getting it back, pretty banged up though. still got $2300 for it thought when i sold it haha
They get picked up and loaded into a pickup or van. I have a $17 motion sensor alarm under the seat and a GPS device on my Grom. Fun little bike, blast to ride.
the grom is way over price bike period kp mini 150 dust this bike and any other mini on the market cost for kp mini 150 cc 1749 out the door 2239 new honda grom 4999 out the door 5800 + depending on the upgrades ya got stop capping you are not going 70 miles on that bike stock

Yeah you can’t get a speeding ticket on a grom.. but they are more fun than any other bike. But I’ve hit 75
