- Bruce is real sour today. It could be because today is Labour Day and it's usually a signal that summer is almost over. Being in a sour mood, he's making a sour cocktail. But not just any sour cocktail. He's making an Elderflower Sour. Maybe those wonderful floral notes of Elderflowers will brighten his day.
Cheers!

1/2oz (15ml) - SIMPLE SYRUP
1/2 - EGG WHITE (1 Tbsp)

This guy is still the best...
THANK YOU BRUCE 🍸🤤👍
You're a wild man Bruce! So many layers to this one! Im a big fan of St Germain as a sweetener and personally, I love how it "pairs with pear" and especially in a gin base.- The sour was great, thanks for the vid!
Thanks for tuning in!
One last Summer Cocktail, and then... HALLOWEEN COCKTAILS, BABY!
In the works, stay tuned!
Amaizing summer cocktail!
It’s a good drink to end the summer, that’s for sure. Cheers!
Bruce, you are the best. I love your production, and and your genuine approach. Cheers!
I appreciate that!
Looking like a tasty cocktail.
It was!
Looks amazing and I love St. Germain (I add it to champagne/prosecco too). I have everything to make this so I'm definitely going to give it a try, Bruce thank you!
I’ll have to try adding it next time I have some champagne. Thanks for tuning in! Cheers!
This looks and sounds amazing; I'm going to have to make this now. The run-through of the different spirits in the drink was fantastic as well.
Hope you give it a try!
Oh how I love me some St. Germaine! Can't wait to try this one, Bruce. Happy Labor Day.🎉
Hope you had a great one!
Thank you, Bruce. I look forward to trying this cocktail. Also, using carton egg whites and a frother for cocktail froth is genius. I'll be trying it on my gin fizzes!
I find myself using the frother for a lot of my foamy cocktails now. Saves your arms especially on a gin fizz haha.
I'd love to have a sip at your bar one day, you're always fun!
Maybe one day!
Thank you, Bruce. It looks delicious and, of course, it will be delicious. I will try a vegan version too. It is always better to have something to compare with... this I have already learned from you .... 😉
Hope you enjoy!
@@BarTalkCocktailsBruce, It is highly embarassing, I have to confess that I haven't been successful in my attempts to acquire a St. Germain for various reasons. But then, something reminded me of the Count of St. Germain. His whereabouts were difficult to find out and often different persons in different places had seen the Count of St. Germain at the same time. I will not forget to do as I wrote ....
Shake it like a sourpuss! Great video. Cocktail sounds great. Thanks Bruce!
Cheers! Keep checking back for more.
I have a violet, peaflower, and lavender gin that makes a genuinely wonderful complement to the St. Germaine!
That sounds perfect for this! Cheers!
Sour mood be damned. Got some locally made elderflower liqueur from Dillon’s and really want to try this with an apple spirit to transition to a fall cocktail.
Oooo Dillon’s Elderflower? That sounds good. Let me know what that’s like
Nicely done, sir! I'm now going to try egg whites from a carton and my frother next time I make a sour! And, since I've never used St Germaine in a sour, it's time for that too.
Hope you enjoy it!
Bruce, When your sour you need to make a sour.
💯
The egg white in a box do not give the same quality foam as an ordinary egg, no matter how much you add. Aqua faba is a good solution also. Nice drink
Aquafaba, interesting. I may have to try and play around with that. Good for a vegan drinker. Thanks for the tip!
Sounds tasty
It is! Give it a go!
I've always wanted to try St. Germain but I could only find the large bottles but I did see one store had the little 350ml bottle but I was in a hurry so I didn't buy it. Maybe next weekend I'll give it a go.
Go ahead & get the big one, it's really good with champagne.
Hope you do!
I have an elderflower syrup from Ikea that's really good - I use it instead of St. Germain in recipes and it tastes great, if sweeter. Mixing it with gin gives you an approximate recipe, and it's much cheaper than St. Germain where I live. So you might give that a try if you don't want to buy a whole bottle
Thanks for the tip!
Sounds lovely minus the grapefruit bitters…personally, I think lavender bitters would’ve complemented it more than grapefruit🤷♀️. Grapefruit is too sharp, imho 😊. Thanks for a nice St. Germaine cocktail. I agree totally with the use of gin and vodka👍.
Fair enough! Hope you give it a go and create your own spin on it. Cheers
50K baby! How about a tequila cocktail to celebrate? 😁
Maybe one day… ha
Halloween.. It's almost time
I’m getting ready, stay tuned!
Sounds like all those not martinis are dragging bruce down 😂
Heh yeah they would make anyone sour 😵💫
Can i use elderflower syrup instead of st. Germain and take off the simple syrup?
Could you substitute the grapefruit bitters with orange bitters?
Absolutely
I HATE Tequila!! I wish he would have done the Gin and Vodka versions. I will try them.
Nice looking cocktail there Bruce, if you're going to do an impression of a Frenchman you will need a cigarette in the corner of your mouth
Good point!
What I would give to smash a couple of ramos gin fizzes.
Can’t go wrong!
