Born in 1963 the 80th had been my time. And in 1983 I had been to Italy and had my First contact with Italo Disco. Gazebo. Ryan Paris, Phaeax etc. I fell in love with that Kind of music and bought my first Synth 1985. It was the Poly 61. Great Video!
Aaw man, I SO LOVE IT when you do your Italo Disco! ! That's how I first started listening to your channel. There's nobody on the Web that does this types of videos. That's why I say that you're the King of synthesizers, cuz there's nobody like you! Gracie amico mio!
Yes! I'll add Miko Mission, J.D. Jaber, Scotch, Lian Ross, Joy, Hipnosis, Kano, The Daydream, Ken Laszlo, Valerie Dore, and Sandy Marton... Good memories.
This is like the sound track of every teen movie from the 1980's lol. Thank God synthesizers were so expensive back in the day or I would of never have learned how to play the guitar.
Jammin. Could u imagine Paolos neighbors...hes cutting dope tracks on a Tuesday while they eat there brunch, haha. As he solos and pitch bends a high note they are takin out the garbage.
Such a wonderful musical era, the songs of the 80s were just so melodic and catchy - Italo, mainstream 80s pop, Euro-Dance etc. For me, the good times ended when rapping became popular, you know the flood of releases with "artist a feat. artist b" and titles like "poormp up the jaaahm!" - it seemed like all of a sudden everybody just HAD to have a rapper featuring and the nice melodies got ditched for "cool basslines" to rap over.
Oh boy. I had the Korg Poly 61M in the mid 80s. It was so expensive for me in my young days & I saved every coin to get one. Played it every day to all the synthesiser music back in the day. Regret today that I sold it in the mid 90s. 😢
Awesome ! I'd totally forgotten about this style of music until you started recreating the sounds a few weeks back, I'm now hooked :-) I find myself playing along with you now :-)
I love this song so much man! You've got the best synth channel in the universe! The web is really a blessing in the way that we all can live in a parallel 80s universe. 80s synths, 80s home computers, 80s movies etc. :)
I owned both of those synths in the early and mid 80s. The Poly was stolen and I sold the Juno in the 90s for under a $100. I wish I had them both back 🎶🎶🎶
Thank's for this video! The great one 😃. Actually what I miss in today's music, is saturation of sounds we had in '80 and early '90. Maybe I'm wrong but what we have now in modern music (besides of stupid autotune) is something simple, flat with just few notes, couple of instruments looped and that's it. No wonder that youth who "understand the stuff" start to dig parent's music archives and say that then we got better stuff than today.
Hi Paolo 🙂. You have such a great talent in making music with those fantastic synthesizer sounds and that powerful drum machine 🎵🤘. Your italo disco track sounds absolutely epic and you bring back the wonderful 80s sound to our ears 😎. Keep on rockin man 🤗.
I love the groove you have for the main synth line @2:45. It would have been at home in any 80's pop hit! Managed to pick up a Korg Poly 61 just the other day, waiting for it to get some service work done before joining my Juno 60 and OB6.
Really amazing and informative videos, Paolo! Thank you for all the work you put into these tutorials. You should totally consider releasing an album of your music, you'd be HUGE in today's New Wave Retro scene!
The chords of the Poly 61M are really awsome. Very cool track too! Remembers me on that time when I was young and listened to tracks of Koto etc. hehehe ;)
Paolo could you please tell us your story…who are you…how come you have such an amazing collection of instruments and knowledge… why haven’t you produced any massive global hits with your talent…was there a tragedy or something…please do a video biography…you are such a mystery…
You can also buy a Roland TR-08s, there are all sounds from 606, 707, 727, 808, 909. It sounds good and you can make Musik straight from the 80's with it. It's not so expensive like the Drumulator
Several years ago, I was tempted to buy a Drumulator from Rogue Music, a great local shop here in NYC. However, I concluded that it's probably a better buy to find an old Akai MPC. Personally, I have owned the Akai MPC 1000 as well as an MPC 2500 (which I now own.) There are a huge number of samples readily available from the classic machines, and they are probably indistinguishable from the real thing. Akai's Vintage Beat Machines sample set includes many samples from machines of the 1980s and even more. Since the later MPCs like the 1000 and the 2500 can use WAV files, the options for sounds are virtually unlimited. The old machines are really cool, no doubt. I have one or two drum machines for nostalgic reasons, but I'm going to the Akai MPC every time to do "real work."
I will never understand why people want old drum machines when all the wavs are online and there's many more convenient ways to sequence them. I guess if you're a collector it makes sense.

Me too. I was my first synthersiser. Miss it 😢
Seriously I can not resist myself listening to it again and again....
The gate on the clap is FANTASTIC!
That Poly-61 lead line - Awesome! Reminded me of the great 'Koto'!
Absolutely gorgeous. This is what I'm talking about. I can listen to this all day.
Paolo, you are the master of making italo samples, it is a masterpiece.
Im starting to believe you can time travel and you took these synths right off the shelves. Look how clean they are!
VST are a great invention, but nothing is like the real things!
Профессиональное мастерство просто захватывает !
не то слово!
I just keep coming back to this one! Genuinely a true 80s banger! You have got the touch!
Song starts at: 1:46
Amazing song! Definitely worthy of being on major platforms
Two detectives find a stash of untraceable bills, and walk into a very bright sunset.
Love it!! Man, that poly lead over the Juno strings... luscious!!
💗🦄🍀🍬✨truly sounds amazing.

That is the best comment of the day!
Theyre even more expensive now
There are too many guitarists here
Can't stop listening to the favourite sounds of my youth...

Long live the space synth. (Koto and Laserdance are my all time favorites and this tune is like a van der Kuy track

Your best italo tune IMHO. Irresistible melody.
Nicolas, thank you
i love so much this sound...good job.
That is probably the most mint Poly 61M in existence.
it's probably the only poly 61 which is still functional
Mine still works, too. But I ain't got the MIDI version.
All his synths are just looking like out of the factory
Had one for about 15 minutes back in the 80s.
@@evetsnitram8866 Me too and the poly 800 !

Excellent!!!
It's a very good sound! I love it! Nostalgia!
Like being stuck in a Moroder-based 80's time loop. That's a good thing, btw. Awesome (as always).

Excellent! Take off my hat. The Korg's sounds are just amazing.
The highest art of synth-pop. Genius simplicity. Bravo maestro!
I suddenly need all those old instruments ! 🤯

Great job indeed man. Im from italy and grew up with this style of music.

So beautyful and so simple...Very nice!
Just great !!!!
Really amazing and informative videos, Paolo! Thank you for all the work you put into these tutorials. You should totally consider releasing an album of your music, you'd be HUGE in today's New Wave Retro scene!
New Wave is more of a rock style, not so much Disco octave bass heavy chords 4/4 beat
Carl T he means new retro wave, synthwave genre modern take on 1980s synth pop sounds
This one keeps sticking in my head, very catchy tune! Great.
Awesome 4/4 Disco beat / Bass
Awesome. I didn't know the poly 61m existed until I saw this. I have a poly 800 and an ex 800.
Amazing... so good to see the good stuff is still made today!
Awesome lines Paolo. Poly 61! Yeah!! Beautiful memories I used to have a Poly 6 and when the 61 came out it blew my mind. Keep it up. Thanks !!
Ahhh the sound of my youth! Thanks.
I love this music. Very inspirational and so cool. Thanks for sharing so much
The chords of the Poly 61M are really awsome. Very cool track too!

I'm getting John Hughes movie flashbacks ! 😆
Super !!!
This is so cool, it reminds me of Lee Marrow Shanghai. Long Live 80's Synth
I like your sound....!!!
The Poly-61!! Always wanted one of those. Gritty, lo-fi analog. But I have my Mirage, so I can kind of get that sound, haha.
?????

Such a hit ! This track always inspired me ! Thanks Paolo !
Great sound great synths!!!
I had no idea how relatively easy it is to make this sound so good. Now I need to see glittery big hair girls singing to this.
It sounds very pleasant to my ears. 😍
This is wonderful, reminds me so much of Bobby Orlando’s High-NRG productions.
