Just didn't see 200 bux in upgrades. Might just be that I don't have a use for so many channels right now. Has a new sleek look with the screen, and ambidextrous wheel. Will be watching for future videos coming up soon as you go deeper into all the things it has to offer. As always, great video and keep them coming!!
I would love to see another video of this radio once you have it setup with your TRX-4. Would be curious to see which switches you used for each function and get your opinions on using it for crawlers.
The overall design of the Tx looks EXTREMELY similar to the Futaba 7PX. Obviously, the power button is different (and in a different location), and there are no other buttons below the screen (like on the 7PX)...but, when you look at the other buttons/switches/dials, they not only look almost identical to those on the 7PX, but are in the same location. Even switching the wheel, from right to left side, is done almost identically to how it's done on the 7PX. So far, it looks good. When I first heard about it, I became interested...not for general & racing RC use (for that, I have my 7PX, and Noble NB4), but for speedrun cars (which I'm just getting into, having purchased a Limitless V2). Speaking of which, something you didn't cover...or, even mention...is the ability to attach a TBS Crossfire. The reason I mention it is, Radiolink mentions it on the website, and even shows a photo of the Tx with a Crossfire unit attached...but, there is NOTHING in the manual about it - nothing mentioned about setting it up within the Tx settings, nothing about how to attach the Crossfire unit to the front of the RC8X, nothing about connecting wires to power the Crossfire...literally, nothing. Speedrunners who want/need the extreme distance will love that the RC8X has a DSC port for adding a Crossfire...but, if they don't cover anything about it in the manual, how's anyone supposed to know how to properly configure its use with the RC8X?
I've been waiting for this to be released but wanted to know if it would live up to the hype. With the Noble, Flysky hit a home run, offering a radio loaded with features, at a fraction of the cost of competitor's radios. However, when they updated it to the Pro, the price went through the roof and pitted it against the likes of Futaba and Sanwa. A serious mistake if you ask me (just didn't make sense). This, however, is a whole different story. I mean, a touch screen radio with features that rival the best radios in the industry and at a FRACTION of the cost! Excellent fit and finish, touchscreen, just about every feature you could imagine. This could be a game changer! 👍
@@linh811 I only have experience with the Pro and I would say it has marginally slower response (or latency). My guess is, the average racer won't notice and it's not important if you're just bashing.
Can you PLEASE do a comparison with this and the Flysky Noble NB4. I feel like they are very close competition. Im definitely thinking about getting this for my speed run cars because of the range and maybe for my race buggys but the NB4 is also a awesome radio.
The important question, how fast is the response (latency), example using a fast servo or fast esc for precision racing, is as good as top end model futaba or sanwa? Is it faster than the NB4?
Thanks for the video of the new RC8X but this isn't really a review. This is more of an unboxing video. Hope you do make a proper review video of this new transmitter in the future showing features, how to use it and how it performs. Thanks.
I am planning to buy it , but I wanna to get more user feedback apply for the touring racing, I really concern about the response speed and accuracy, it was my first considered for the transmitter.
Awesome...some of the features reminds me of my futaba 7pxr. Wonder how difficult or not the new radiolink is compared to the 7pxr? I do struggle with the 7pxr more than my Spektrum DX6R or DX5 Rugged...
