That is how nature works, the same goes for a dam which is breaking. First there are fissures in a lot of places then they connect and suddly comes the "rupture point" when the dam brakes and water starts pouring at ounce
The Russian MoD wasn't being premature in reporting capturing places, Ukraine was doing EVERYTHING they could to try to counterattack every time they reported someplace captured.
Ukraine took HUGE casualties in return for those attempts at propaganda victories.
Today it seems Ukraine doesn't have the military ability to try to do such again.

The speed of frontline changes will speed up even more.
Look back at Russian military actions in Syria. Loooong time of very little apparently happening, and then their enemies just start collapsing more and more, faster and faster.
And it is VERY likely we're going to see something similar, or even more extreme in Ukraine.

As i noted before, that datja region isn't technically part of Novomykhailivka. It even has some name of its own.
So just was checking Weeb & HL collab video, according to them even Ruskies have more men it’s still not enough to produce a sufficient breakthrough since the frontline is more than 1000 km.
It's all relative, they absolutely could, Russia just has been incredibly conservative. One of the keys to Soviet type tactics was risk taking, sometimes you have to be bold and go all in for a deep penetration attack, but if successful this allows you to collapse a huge area, destroy rear line logistics etc. The flip side of this is if it fails, it can fail big, and cause a collapse of friendly lines. It's a high risk high reward strategy, and Russia so far has been low risk. However as Ukraine falls apart more and more, the possibility and risk assessment of a more aggressive deeper push is different, we will see.
As Ukraine is faltering this inhibits their ability to counter attack, and lacking a counter attack threat Russia can then be more and more bold and aggressive, it's a compounding domino effect.

Steady Russia is gaining ground. But it is under the conditions that the enemy has not sufficient ammunition.. the question is what will happen once the new batch of support will be received ? At least the process will be slowed down if not reversed for some part.
There Is hardly anything meaningful or in suficient quantities to make any difference in that package... Guess we'll see soon enough.
There is already a shortage of men and people are not willingly to join the army anymore, according to a Ukrainian soldier himself.
The question is, by the time they receive new batch, are they pretty much completely out ? If yes then this batch will enough may be for a week across the front, or may be 1 daring push somewhere. May have temporary effect of taking something back, but overall does not seem like it can reverse the overall trend, unless US starts to empty its own stockpile of 155 for Ukraine.
