It is 2021 and I burst in tears! I remember my dad gave me this game back in its early days along with the PS1 version of the first game..I've spent countless of hours solving puzzles and whatsoever in the first game,now I really...REALLY want to play the second game again!
I always like the way Kain sounds when he goes "My God... THE HYLDEN!! ...We walked right into their trap..." before trying to warn Raziel to NOT resurrect Janos, given what he saw from the events of Blood Omen 2, and the Hylden Lord being in control of Janos' body and what he uses him for.
This is one of the most memorable games I've ever played. Complete package, storytelling, voice acting, game play, it was perfect. I feel bad that today's gamers missed out on this game. Fantastic game!

I had no idea there was a sequel. I did love the first one though. This sequel had a sad ending. And thank you for including the end bonuses and especially the outtakes. Good times. And how far we've come.

And as he said at times to Raziel, he thought he had it figured out, but Raziel didn't, and Kain just giving hm bits and pieces of need-to-know knowledge so he could reach his own conclusions, all while the Elder God and Moebius manipulated Raziel because they feared Kain's destiny as Scion of Balance.
I remember playing this at 14 year old in 2004 this game was scary as hell. Definitely one of the best games back in the time. The only thing I wish it could have would be a multiplayer mode or pvp

Why does Soul Reaver 1 on Dreamcast look so much better than Soul Reaver 2 on PS2? And Soul Reaver 1 on Dreamcast & Soul Reaver 2 on PC look just as good as one another as far as clarity, frame rate, etc. I don’t understand it. I mean, we’re comparing Dreamcast to PC & they look exactly alike. Also, how could a PS2 game look so much more grainy than a Dreamcast game. It’s not even close. The Dreamcast looks as clear as day.
I think you're misremembering how it looks on Dreamcast or you have a an HD converter that makes it look better on Dreamcast. I owned both consoles and both games across three consoles and no copy of Soul Reaver looked better than SR2 on PS2.
I can only imagine if there had not been time and hardware limitations for the first game, we would have gotten a different soul reaver franchise all together.

Fun fact: Should you be able to get a weapon to the room where the light crystal door time stream chamber, before opening it you should place the weapon down then aim and shoot a light Reaver shot at the crystal door and if your quick enough try to pick up the weapon you drop. If done correctly Raziel should be holding the weapon in you just pick up in the cut-scene, if with a scythe Raziel would point the pointy end at Mobius, But if with a sword then Raziel would point the handle at Mobius which is kinda funny as Raziel threatens Mobius with a smooth handing of a sword in the cut scene :3
@@GameKai51 There is a long but free process to jailbreak a PS3 slim. Even after that, some PS2 games run with issues. Tales of the Abyss, for example, would crash on rare occasions. King's Field 4 had two rooms that would not load but instead appeared as black voids. PS1 and PSP games appear to run with fewer issues.
i loved the graphics of the first Soul Reaver and HATED the labyrinth like levels with NO MAP. At least they made a map for this one.. What the hell they were thinking with the first Soul Reaver !??
