So good to find your channel, David. I possess a family Grandfather Clock the history of which I have not fully researched. Not working at the moment due to room replastering and decoration. I’m now working towards restarting the clock, your videos are providing much information. Thank you. Chris Berrisford Newcastle under Lyme
@@davidhaggarty ahhh…. The plaster repair was some three years ago…. The old girl hasn’t chimed since then… One problem I have is the lower door has warped. Any ideas as to flattening it so it will sit and lock? My thoughts are to gradually flatten with cramps?
@@davidhaggarty I had to smile when I saw your way of creating a stop for the weight cables ? Completely the right way. Fine. But I used two wooden dowels for my clock…😂 still there….👍
oh so beautiful
Cool

@@chrisberrisford5560 unfortunately woodworking is not my thing, but there will be UA-cam videos to guide you. Your suggestion sounds right.

But aside from the above, I would be very grateful if you could help me to get the old Girl going again with some expert advice?
A very handsome dog, too.
Thank you. He thinks so too!
