Oh wow!! What an eye opening and helpful video!! For years I shot 29.5 DL because that’s how my math worked out. Recently I got a new bow and that pro shop fitted me and said I was a 31” DL. After watch this video and trying out the head thing, turns out I’m still short! Just ordered 31.5” mods. Thanks for this video!! You definitely earned a subscriber!
Boy you right about those draw length adjustments and modules. Not only that, but ALL manufacturers need to make there bows with 1/4” adjustments and they need to be correct! Don’t fudge an extra 1/2” of draw length on me to make you IBO speed look good. 🧐we know what your doing.
Thank you for posting this video! I have been struggling with pain in the right side of my neck and right shoulder, along with not holding steady on target. I used this method to check my DL setting and have found it to be set about 5/8 inch or more too short. I have my cam maxed so I pull the rubber grip and my ATA is 3/8” too long. Hoping adding a few twists with get it set just perfect to reduce my shoulder compression.
What's the best way to add stabilizer weight back on once the draw length is accurate? Is there a formula for what to add front/back and then when is it too much?
How have I never head of this exercise before? Doing this has done 2 things for me. First, it has confirmed that my draw length is really close to where I need it to be. Second, it has taught me that I wasn't actually relaxing my draw shoulder when I thought I was. Drawing with my head to the side, then turning my head and anchoring, I realized my draw shoulder was NOT in the same position it is when I just draw, relax, and anchor normally. I just shot a few ends putting some "extra" relaxation into my shoulder. It's going to take some getting used to, but it feels good. Also, I would interested to know your thoughts on loop length adjustments. I feel little over extended at full draw. But this test tells me that my draw length is really close to where it should be. Also, I tried going down 1/2 inch (no 1/4 inch adjustment on my bow). It felt terrible, and my pin was super jumpy, which kind of confirms that it was probably too short. My hypothesis is that my loop may be a little long and that bringing my hand forward would help me feel less stretched out
George; Do you recommend any loctite on the cam screws? I have the Holt HBX XACT cams. While I'm asking how do you eliminate cam lean on the newer Hoyts?
Please make a video on front QDs and explain 0* to as much as (TruBall has a) 16* down and its effects on sight picture?!?! Does anyone make an adjustable front QD that is high quality?
Good afternoon! A new Thing A Week going live in a few weeks will talk all things stabilizers and in turn will discuss angled front bars and disconnects. In the meantime, we do offer a very cool adjustable mount called the Multi-Angle. Find it here: lastchancearchery.com/shootingstabilization
I am so glad you brought back the thing a weeks! So much good usable advice. Thanks again!

Thanks a lot!! Great video again!
This is phenomenal content. Been struggling with my draw length for a few days now. This cleaned it right up
I fully support your comment vs the CAM engineers. Great video
Been dealing with the exact pains you said from short draw for months. Time to pull back without anchoring and see what happens.

Yes!! And don't make modules $60+ a set.
It’s all about that extra gravy 😂 Great video.
Top. Thank you from France.

Great info, Coach!

Stay tuned over the next few weeks. That's going to be in a newer episode soon.

When you change the DL, does the peep stay in plae?
You may need to adjust your peep after changing your draw.

What button barrel are you using and what stab QD’s are you using
His is a custom barrel
The stabilizer QD is Called Beiter Lock. You can get them from beiter
