You know? I’ve always noticed, your husband, Manny, looks like a fun person. I bet you two have had a great fun life together. Keep the videos coming, I’ll keep watching.
@@TheSewingRoomChannel I didn’t expect you to answer, usually no one does. I’m thrilled you did. I think your instructions on items you make are wonderful. I’ve been watching for some time. Your children are beautiful too. Thank you so much, you made my day.
Your grandson is so cute. Looks like he likes his kitchen towel.. Grandkids bring such joy. I have a great grandson, will be 1 couple days. What joy he is. So different from my granddaughters.. I just rewatched and wrote all down. Tomorrow I will attempt it. Thanks again.
Hi Cheryl I love this Idea what a wonderful gift you are so Awesome Truly if I was your neighbor I would run across the lawn and Thank You 😊 also what a Couple of Handsome Men you have So one of my Thanksgiving Thanks is having you to watch on UA-cam Your so Beautiful Thank You Cheryl again and again TO YOU AND YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY HAPPY THANKSGIVING AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
So glad you are showing people how to make this. I have made them for the women and men in my family. I even made one for my little granddaughter for when she and her Dad make cookies.
I just followed your video and made 3 boas in less than 2 hours - while dealing with 4 hungry grandchildren coming in from school. These are for end of year teacher gifts. I'm going to embroider their teacher's initial on the sides. So glad I found your instructions...clear, simple, and quick. I am now subscribed, will look for more of your work. Thank you!
These are adorable and would be great for gifts. PS your husband popping up in the middle of the video was adorable! Thanks for sharing. Will be making some of these soon. Will be a great way to use up fabric stash and will make great gifts!!
DID IT!! I thought I would screw it up.. but nope. I did fold my towel different. Going to make a bunch more now that I have it in my head. Thanks again.
My goodness how much your grandson has grown and is absolutely adorable!! Love the hair too 😍🥰 On my way out now to find some towels to make these as hostess (or host) gifts. Can be so easy to match a kitchen decor and great with pot holders too!
I purchased one in a gift shop for my husband. The maker used an odd fabric (can’t explain it - wasn’t a regular cotton - almost like a honeycomb feel) - it bunched and shrunk in the first washing. I’ll make one for him and for my daughters - thank you 😊
You might consider getting non-directional fabric and towel for this project, otherwise half of it will be upside down! Thanks for the video--it's very helpful to know how to make this. I've seen a lot of people wearing them and they seem ingenious.
Glad I caught this video. I'm in the process of making some of these. I was wondering about the neck area, how it would lie on the neck. You answered it. Other video I watched, I believe it was narrower, have to rewatch it to see. But I have my question answered by your video. Adding this tot library, cause I'll be watching it a few more times. Thanks for Sharing..Happy New Year.
Well finally got that last seam in my brain. Had to keep watching cause I did it on wrong side and had to rip it out.. yes had to get seam ripper shears i have out!! But i made 8 of them.. would of made more, but ran out of towels.. lol THANKS for video. Of the several videos I watched on making these, i liked the way you made yours. There was a question I had to myself, how was it going to set on the back of neck ? and you addressed that. Thanks again for Sharing..
Scroll down to below your UA-cam screen to the description section. Expand that section by clicking on the down arrow (v). You will see the fabric measurements there. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
@@TheSewingRoomChannel, I did that Sherrill, and it only shows your links for your other videos. I can get the measurements by watching the video again. Thanks!
Place a tape measure around your neck and let both ends fall down the front of you see where you would like the towel be placed. Then cut your fabric whatever that measurement is. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
What size towel did you use? It looks larger than a dish towel. I'm using dish towels. Hope I cut my material large enough.. I think I'll be ok, I've watched this 4 times. Lol probably be more as I go along. 😁
Hi Ruth. The purchased towel was made with the roosters all facing the same direction. If I wanted to change it, I would have to remove the stitches in the hem of the towel and then stitch a hem at the opposite end of the towel. If you are using a towel with the print facing the same direction, you can redo the hem if you like. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
I had a question, if I'm making this for a person whose tall, 5'9", with a longer torso, and long back waist length, also long arms, should I use more fabric?
I made my first boa towel today, but I put one towel in for, the back of the towel is showing on the finished side. So, what did I do wrong? I'm kind of confused
Hi User-kp8vx. After cutting the towel in half fold it the towel as you would fold the towel when hanging it. Now go to 04:00 minutes into the video. Notice that the hand towel side edges is on top of the towel and facing towards the camera. At the opposite end of the boa towel, the hand towel is placed in the reverse. So place the folded towel with the side edge on top and facing away from the camera. I hope this makes sense. Thanks for watching💗 happy sewing😍
Hi Cheryl. You will need about 1/3 yard of 42" wide fabric. Go to 03:11 in the video for instructions on how to measure your towel so you purchase enough fabric. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
You talk about towels. I've never seen a printed towel like your roosters. Are these bath towels? Awfully big if kitchen towels. Sorry, really confused lol
I've seen people with gas stoves use them and that has never happened. I suppose if you were really tall or the boa was too short, it might be a problem. I'm short and have an electric stove so it isn't a problem for me.

So what is the advantage of having this form of dish cloth?

What is the size of the towel you cut in half to go on your project?

Yes it is a kitchen towel. I purchased it from Walmart a while back. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
Would be afraid it would catch fire bending over the stove burner
My thoughts exactly...
Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
I've seen people with gas stoves use them and that has never happened. I suppose if you were really tall or the boa was too short, it might be a problem. I'm short and have an electric stove so it isn't a problem for me.
