I just dealt with the worst case of this in my life. The person was stuck in a negative mindset but seemed to be seeking change. So i gave away so much time and energy trying to help until it was so clear that they didn't really want to change, they just wanted to constantly vent their negativity to me and just be around me to absorb whatever benefits they can but give nothing in return. Then when i started to withdraw to have my own space they became cruel and vindictive. To the point of threatening to purposely cause harm to my life. I stood up for myself and let them know i will defend myself and won't tolerate threats and thank God it's all over now except some spoofing phone calls.
And i learned that i need to be more assertive from the beginning.

Excellent video and insights. The kindest people are always targets for manipulators and exploiters. We have to switch off our feelings of guilt and learn to put ourselves first.
Definitely agree about the guilt. Also dont feel guilty about being more selfish and strong and breaking free of your social circles to become the person you need to be to achieve yourself best life.
Also because empaths have a lot of humanity we appreciate people are falliable. Have to watch this one as it can keep you trapped

I got a Real Vampire Reiki attunement....I did this months ago and have not had somebody take my energy since. From an energy level I just figured out how to not give energy to them. I feel the psychic chord almost as it goes in, they can't even get a chord in because I cut it. I can't feel guity if I can see what they are doing and see through the guilt tripping. Being able to see through people means they no longer have an effect. Becoming psychic in a sense is what saved me.

Not a lot of people talk about this. I had to discover this through hard inner work and STILL after discovering the fact that I have been manipulated with and by my own guilt , it still has a hold of me . Will look into your classes to further work on this . Thank you .
People close to me are the worst when it cones to energy vampires,they think they are owed a living.
I had to slowly separate/ghost from a clique during COVID, because I noticed they talked shit about each other when one person was gone. But when everyone was together, they did all the fake smiles/fake love and pretended it was all good.
Behind the scenes, I knew how certain people really felt, so I learned to mind my business and just wish the best for everyone. The problem with that is that they see you as a threat, because you don't co-sign their BS, or you have your own life outside of the clique. You can still be supportive to them and their work, without being directly involved in the spiderweb of toxicity, jealousy, narcissism, back-stabbing and envy.
It's best to keep a respectful distance once you peep the BS. Because even though they'll now see you as the enemy, you have your peace and freedom from the silly shenanigans they play with each other.
Welcome to the modern world of Social Media. You wanted it. You got it. Now deal with it.

They all contributed to ruining my life and career dreams. I dealt with one recently, and it's the last straw. Your video just set my wings free, I can fly now, after almost 30 years. For me, yes it was guilt. I was a small child when I was taught that a biblical character died for my sins. My guardian was a narcissist, and it snowballed from there.

Yes it does. It’s more like a combo pack of guilt and shame, which are lethal weapons when used together.

I play the energy vampire. I act like I have empathy when I really don’t. I give them just enough attention/help so they can’t accuse me of not being a team player, then I go about my business. If they don’t leave me alone, I babble endlessly about nothing..and they walk away. I have to use these techniques because my energy vampire is vindictive and controlling.
I am an empath the day I became a reiki master my teacher who attuned me said you will now be a like a flame attracting moths. Like a moth to a flame it’s so true …I dont feel guilty about anything I haven’t done anything to deserve to feel guilty 🤷♀️ I don’t think guilt is the answer here I think ppl see how bright and shiny we are and we are great supply
This is v interesting about the guilt. I recently met an energy vampire, I didnt realise initially as it took a while for red flags to appear. After several hours with them I was drained and depeessed for a whole week, I could barely get out of bed. I've been trying to figure it out and energy vampirism makes a lot of sense. They had already started requesting big things from me and using guilt saying they hated being let down by people 😮 I'm going to have to phase them out. I'd love some more friends but not people who bring me down and drain me like that!

Isn't it wonderful this world of new disciplines and personality types which we then can target with special programs and techniques? What you call an energy vampire is certainly a specific type of person and I am sure there are dozens more. But just because we categorize them and strategize ways in which to deal with them doesn't mean you're helping people. It also doesn't mean they do what they do deliberately to hurt others. In the end this whole development shows me that we have grown way too complacent, passive, snow-flaky, whiny and need someone else (other than a proper therapist) to tell us what and how to feel and/or "defend" ourselves, forcing us into the victim role. There were times when people cared about each other enough to help out. But these are gone. And I would posit that anybody doing this kind of "therapy" like any social influencer has at least as much of a monetary interest than any other motive to do it.
I wish there was such a video for self proclaimed religious guru zealots like this. Then again I am a practicing reiki master and a vampire so I may be a bit biased, but at least I'm being honest about it.

It depends on how it affects you personally. We're not all equipped to handle every type of person and if it hurts you personally to be around them despite their intent, then yes.
No of course not. Not for being old or disabled. Anyone may be one, but being old or disabled is not a factor in someone being one. Physical or mental incapacity is not intentional or intended to cause anyone harm. Sure it can be exhausting looking after them, but this is not the same.
