@@richardnicholls9569 I believe that carly here doesn't really was at fault her. Most of those devices are made to work mainly on canbus readings, and some of those oldy cars, can still use K-lines, which cannot be read properly by just the modern canbus reader. I have chinese xentry with openport, It has zero problems with cars newer than 2007/2008 but it can fail at the older ones, just because my open port reads only canbus data, and not k-line stuff. (Which of course, the original hardware, does read perfectly fine, but thats another thing)
Carly is slightly misleading - its a subscription-based service and if you didn't know that you might think that you're paying a one-time fee for the OBD reader and program. Only until you add the item to your cart and ready to pay do you find out you'll be paying yearly.
I'd replace "slightly misleading" to "slightly scammy" - I paid for the coding subscription for my Lexus - it never worked - then 3 months into my subscription they disabled it because they "couldn't support Lexus anymore" - I had 9 months left, but they refused to refund me for something that never worked and they withdrew. More fool me I guess, but I'll be bitter about it to my grave so every time I see some UA-camr shilling for them, I'll tell my story.
Also, carly costs 65$/ year to do the same as something you would otherwise pay 100 for lifetime, if you buy the "good ones", or 20$ if you buy a mediocre one. That being said, I love carly's marketing

Sold it with nearly 200.000miles on the odo, still working w/o problems. Only had to replace the propeller shaft once (at more than 115.000 mils) and replaced the old satnav with an Android one.
