That Fuji 27mm 2.8 is one of the best lenses Fuji has right now. Love that thing ! Been shooting w/ it a lot.
I had the original 27mm F/2.8 I never found a place for it.
It was too close in focal length to the 35mm f/1.4 (and 2 stops slower) and was not that much smaller than the 18mm f/2 .
Optically there was nothing wrong with the lens, I just never found a home for it
I think if I didn't have any lenses, I'd consider the 27mm along with a 56mm
But back then having the 18mm, and 27mm (got them together in a deal with the X-Pro 1) along with the 35 and 60.. it was the lens I reached for the least.
@@9Mtikcus Man !!! Good to hear. Whew, that X-Pro 1 coming with those lenses is fire.. I think I remember that. I was so locked in to Canon back then.. I noticed the X-Pro 1 back then, loved the look of it...but I wasn't even thinking about Fuji back then lol. What's crazy is, I never even thought about the 27mm until recently.. I got the X-T5 and just wanted to try a lens that I never had. My fav focal length is a 50mm equiv so, I had the 35mm F2, but sold it a while ago. 27mm (40mm) has been cool to use. Took me a day to really learn it and treat it like a 50 kinda lol. Think the next lens I want is either the 33mm or the 35mm. Can't decide..
@@TopshelfJunior The best thing about the deal was the X-Pro 1 with both lenses (new) was only £500.
Can't really give advice on whether or not to get the 35mm F/1.4, personally I love the lens and we use it on an X-T5 too (although it is with another photographer right now)
It is a special lens but, you have to be prepared for the slower autofocus (really we are only talking about AFC, in AFS it focuses fast enough).
If you can get a good deal on the 35mm F/1.4 it makes it more attractive but the new price (at least here) is so close to the 33mm F/1.4 if i was buying new i'd go for the 33mm every time.... having said that, I shoot more 23mm & 56mm these days. If I didn't have the 35mm... I'd probably get the 30mm Macro, as I have fast 23mm and 56mm options, but no 1:1 macro
DUDE i have the same problem. I hate that they made a charcoal version when the silver looks so good. I just picked my charcoal one up today and am thinking of exchanging it for a silver one lol

I'm definitely not an X-T50 hater although I think it like every camera now is too expensive.
The Film sim dial that gets so much hate, I like, (not like the drive dial on the earlier X-Txx cameras was really needed)
If it had the ISO in the shutter dial X-100 VI it would be great, but not like it is hard to map ISO to a button
If i didn't have an X100 VI (I have mapped the control dial to Film simulator) I'd have been looking out for the first sale that got the X-T50 camera down to around £1000 then it would have been considered. Right now, it is just too close in price to the X-T5 (at least in UK) but since I got the X100 VI, I am happy for this generation of cameras
I have my X-T3 and my X100VI and I don't need anything else :)
I'm looking forward to your review when you put your hands on your own camera
I ordered the Charcoal as well. Can’t wait to get it. Will have to decide if I want to keep my X100VI or X-T50…. OR BOTH
