Enjoyed this 3 part series very much. I had no idea people fished and travelled in small boats like that - totally awesome! I live in Arctic Canada, so seeing this was really amazing, thanks for posting.
Man, you have made my Pandemic day (this is actually day 32 of lockdown here in the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico, 3/13/2020) with your three part series... Felt like I was there with you and brought great memories. Need it that. Gracias amigo; Capt Luis Burgos out
I reckon if you brained the trip and caught dozens of big fish it would probably put every trip in the future in the so so basket. Frazer wants you back and she gave you that golden moment to seal the deal. Awesome trip with the all the highs and lows that every adventure is made of.
I'm really glad I found this channel. I'm so used to people pushing people off and not helping one another. It's nice to see another perspective of the world.
Ahh Rod, it's hard to put my finger on what it is that makes me love your vids so much but just keep doing it mate because when I see a notification that Rokkit has uploaded a new video I know it's going to be a good day.
Paul from the netherlands here dude ure trips rock i love watching them when i was in bonaire ive been fishin the and caugt a 16 kilo wahoo and when i see u catch a makerel my hart start to pown keep it up mate
Been waiting all week for this! Fantastic trip. That fish was just the invitation needed for a return trip! No doubt that fish will haunt you! Great video! Thanks.
Simple "boating" advice from someone who's been caught out in too many bad storms. If in doubt and you are already ashore, then stay there!! Felt so gutted for you with that last fish there mate. Can honestly say that I felt some of your pain when that thing came off the hook. Thanks for another great video, Rod. Thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks mate!!
Dude never had a fishing video give me as much goosebumps as this one mate.🙌 Build up was insane, glad you got em but bummer it didnt stay hooked up. Great effort bud! Super stoked for you! Your videos has gone up tremendously in quality!👌👌👌
Hi from the UK. Just as you going home you get the best bite ever. A typical fisherman tale. At least you have proof you hooked up. Keep up the good work more longer vids pal
Amazing adventure. That marlin counts. Definitely. It doesn't matter if it didn't come aboard. We have same problem with white marlin coming until the boat but they didn't bite the lures. Solution, just stop the lure and let it sink. Completely dead. Even with the skirt lure. And fish on!
Saved by a fish at the last eh? That looked like such a cool trip!!! you did better that I did fishing your grounds on the gold coast lol... It was great to meet you the other day and thanks again for organizing the loaner kayak for me while I was over there! Cheers!!!
I was so keen to watch this and had to wait to do a bunch of errands this morning! Awesome to see you get onto your target, but so disappointing for it to throw the hook. Fuel to the fire for the next trip. Still, a great series and trip!
Awesome video Rod. I love Fraser Island. I've been there every year for the last 8 years or so. About 3 years back I dropped a bait about 200m out the front of Nkgala rocks with my drone on the eastern side and it was picked up by a small black. They are amazing things when you see them get up and start tail walking. Last year I went to Wathumba with a kayak and tried to hook onto one, but wasn't successful.
Nice job Rod! I never understood why people were so into Marlin until I watched that fish chase your lure in. I FELT THE HYPE! Haha. Stoked for you man.
Awesome videos love the Frazer coast what a place to just kick back and chill away from the big smoke #sydney have family up at Harvey bay when I go I don’t want to leave
A nice series of videos ,and I do envy you being able to undertake it in such a beautiful place with such calm waters ,but if ever I had the opportunity to undertake such a trip I think that I would use a traditional English style cove boat in the same length or alloy boat ,not only because they are a lot more stable as well as taking the weather better ,but also being able to carry that 2 nd get you out of trouble engine because no matter how good your motor is the AA doesn't come out 3 miles offshore. As I said a nicely made video ,but for such long journeys on your own ,as some once once said " I think you need a bigger boat ""
hey RoKKiT KiT, you should switch to a hammock with an over sized rain fly. its so nice because you can still do stuff under it and not have to lay there

Was at fraser last seek there was to much tuna there it got to the point where we had lost almost every lure we owned. Was really surprised not to see big schools of them🤔 As always nice video
Please keep a pole rigged with a natural bait for the next time that happens! Damn, I want you to get em! If they miss that lure, often you can finesse them in with a slower live bait or well rigged ballyhoo. Works great for every top-water scenario and species I've tried.
Yea a live bait would have been great but unfortunately with limited room it’s always a compromise. Will have to give it a go at some point. I’ve had a marlin do the same thing on my kayak and would have loved to be able to throw out a switch bait👍
Spectacular part of the world and great video series Rod! Made it to Wathumba Jan 2020 via Inskip > Orchid, caught nothing the whole Fraser trip and drank too much ;) But cant wait to get back, hopefully with a vessel of some sort. Stoked to see you got hook ups mate!! Cheers from Adelaide
Another cracking video Rod. It would have been too easy if your first trip to Fraser produced a black. Now you have to keep going back for more! Keep up the great content mate 👍
LOVED that 3 part video, man. What an epic time, minus the black getting off haha. Been looking at those skiffs. I have a Stealth Fisha 460 that I love and we're just starting to get those boats over here in the states. A buddy of mine recently picked one up and I really want to take it for a spin.
