Rip Tony Thompson truly truly missed gone to soon but never forgotten love me some hi five since the early 90 "s still my favorite group just missing Tony
I'm so glad to hear someone of this generation listening to my favorite group of my time growing up. Please turn as many of your friends on to this as possible. And as for Tony, he was the greatest.👍🏾
I know they just want to perform, but without Tony's vocals it's just not the same. They're the Jackson's without Michael, there's just too much missing vocally.
They don’t sound bad. Journey had a new lead singer when Steve Perry left I don’t get why these guys can’t do the same without being harassed about it especially when their lead singer died. The alternative would be not to perform at all and I don’t think true fans of theirs would want that at all.
They’re telling you that without Tony there is no Hi-Five. That’s the whole point of showing the casket. There asking for your empathy but I’m not giving it to them. Tony Thompson also had a dope Solo album that he did when he left the group. Tony wasn’t even in the group when he passed away. If they so talented where is a new album 💿
Ok where is the dark skinned dude he could sing really good too like Toni… ???? Was Toni on drugs why did he have to inhale for the a/c WHYYYY😩 was the the cause or was it something else???
The dark skinned guy is Treston Irby, he replaced Toriano Easly who was the other original lead voice from the first album. I respect them for keeping Hi Five’s legacy alive. This group definitely went through a lot so it’s good to see them pushing despite the negativity
Am I the only one who thinks that was such bad taste to show pictures of Tony’s coffin?? WTF was that all about??? It seems this new group is all riding on the coat tails of T.T.!! Make new music instead of trying to revive Tony. I know y’all want to try and commemorate him but showing pictures of his coffin and gravesite is not the answer. Y’all trying to pull on the heartstrings of the true Hi Five fans and are failing miserably......SMH
I had the same reaction when I saw the casket. I've never seen anyone publicly recognized posthumously for their work by showing a picture of their casket. It just felt weird. 🤪
Confronting a captive audience of fans with chilling, probably never before seen blown-up images of Tony's coffin amid a pop concert. However well-intended it's likely to provoke grief and desecrates a characteristically monumental private family occasion. Especially upsetting given the tragic circumstances of the sensitive young man's untimely passing.
@@beingsshepherd naw you bugging. Treston, Shannon and Marcus are Tony's brother and they show the footage to pay homage to their brother. It is far from exploitive and or in poor taste..
Well it's of course subjective. I'm sure they're not _trying_ to offend, but tributes are customarily positive. Endearing memories, smiling portraits, happy times. Inevitably they do still evoke some sadness, but with a beautifully nostalgic ... tact. Did you see the James Avery reminiscing in the recent _Fresh Prince_ reunion? Casket and pallbearing pics by contrast are depressingly morbid and intrusive. I felt a sacrilegious shame just by watching.
most background singers can sing better.. they just dont have that IT factor ...... like new edition...... Ralph was the lead.. cuz WOMEN LOVED him more..
I was the only Asian person at this concert.....and it was awesome!!!
No you wasn't..... I was there too filming.....
I saw Joe a couple years ago and I was probably the only Asian there, and yes Joe is amazing live
@@BKSExperiencewho was actually preforming aren’t 3 dead and ones in prison?

It’s crazy how I’m 15 and I’m the only one I know in my age group that knows about them I wish I got to see them do it with tony 😭

They are not trying to replace Tony. They don't sound bad but I get your feeling..
yeah if there were more Filipinos there the crowd singing would be on point

The problem is ALL the original members are gone except one guy who doesn't even sing.
Never could, he lip sync, he and partner BxW filed that heinous ‘05 bogus lawsuit against him… plain insanity 😈🦀 🦀🪣

That album should’ve been more successful tony could sing and had some dope azz producers
@@Prod499 WordisBond. Didn't Devante do a jont on there as well?

@@Prod499 that's what Eye thought. This album is is historical because of that track alone. But the rest is bangin as well 🤘🏽🕶️💜
They been putting out new ones.... Just don't sell like the first 3
Good job i didnt think the other guys could sing because they never sang lead ever
agreed they can sing, I rather hear them than the audience
they presently have two newer members that added to the group vocally
Nooooooooo[oooo tony soooooooooooo hi fiveeeeeeeeeeeee

Before reading your comment I just wrote the same feeling.
Imo even taking photographs at a funeral/burial is grotesque.

Exactly. Tasteless as fuck. At least show him performing. 🤦♀️
No!!
I find this exploitative and in extremely poor taste. * down thumb *
