This version holds a special place in my heart. I was told once the smiths are "overplayed", this can never be played too many times. You're already on another level of sad if you are listening to any of these songs! Love and blessings x

Noel never tries to be better than any bands he covers and he isn't better than the originals, he just wants to sing a song by a different band and if possible introduce people to new music.
a contemporary master singing a masterful song. If any lyricist can appreciate the words to a song, this would be the perfect example... he sang it with such heart.

This is an absolute classic Smiths song, it's an absolute classic song generally.
Noel does it pride, not better than SP Morrrissey but who could? Noel, luv the album, luv ur Oasis songs, fade away, masterplan, slide away, etc. Top man, up there with Morrissey and Ian Brown, luv you mate!!!

Morrissey & Johnny Marr would be proud of this.
Although it could never be as good as the original, it get's damn close. A superb version of one of the greatest songs ever written/composed, well done Noel. He obviously loves this song too.

i didnt say either made it big in the usa. Oasis is big to the masses in the usa because of wonderwall, but there's not A great following. Most people in the us will just know Oasis from wonderwall. There are more loyal Smiths fans in the usa... than oasis fans.

I like the smith's tunes but morrissey's voice is terrible. Noel vocal's are far better than his imo.
That means literally nothing haha - Americans didn't get the arrogance of them both at the time and so shunned the music. Their loss in my eyes.

The problem with Noel Gallagher is that he can't sing with emotion and Morrissey/Marr wrote this song to be sung with feelings as it's one of the most beautiful love songs of all time and the lyrics are so poetic. Noel makes this song sound so mundane and bland which it never ever should. This version's fucking awful.
