**For those making the American flag I used a H/8-5mm size hook for the stars & flag.
*In this tudorial I will show you how to crochet a 4X4 inch star. Great to add onto blankets or pillows.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have been trying to make stars on a different tutorial for an American flag blanket and gave up months ago! I’m going through my WIP basket and pulled out my unfinished flag. This tutorial was sooooo much easier to understand and was not overly complicated. Maybe now I can finally finish my blanket 🤦🏼♀️🤣
You're very welcome! That makes me so happy that it helped. I also have a tutorial on 2 smaller sizes of this star.

@@CherishedMemoriesCrochet cool ima try to add then to a cat beanie
Hi, is it possible to extend/expand the star outwards by adding many rows of SCs and DCs? I would like to make a Star top.
I'm not sure but I don't see why you couldn't do it that way to make it larger.
Easiest crochet star tutorial ever
I'm so glad to hear that! 😊
The tutorial is perfect and by far the best stars. Do you have written instructions? X
Thank you so much! I'm sorry I don't have a written pattern.
Any tips on keeping the edges from curling. Ironing didn’t help. Thanks. Great channel!!!!
I use mine to sew on the American flag blanket which takes care of that problem. I would think the thicker the yarn the less likely it would curl up.
Did you go in to boht the chain loops i did that and the the curlyness vanished (sorry for typos not native english speaker but hope you unnerstand)
Thanks for the tutorial could you please tell me what size crochet hook you used
H/8-5mm. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. It is now in the description box. 😊
Could you please tell me the red and blue yarn colors
@@cassandragraham4419Of course, the blue was "soft navy" & the red was "cherry red". I did use a different color of blue on my flag sample.
@@CherishedMemoriesCrochet thank you so much truly appreciated
@@cassandragraham4419 Your very welcome! 😊
What size skiens did you use? I bought Caron One Pounders. I am doing this for my sone who is an Army veteran. I love this pattern, it is so easy. I made all of the stars first and just started the stripes today. I love the way you did the circle in the center of the star so that it closes the hole in the middle. I have to take a break because it is getting hard on the eyes. I really enjoy your tutorial. It is so easy to follow. Thank you for doing this.❤
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. He will love it! I used Super Saver 4 weight yarn. It's hard to remember if I used more than one 7 oz skien but I would think your One pounder would be more than enough. 🙂
Thanks for the tutorial could you please tell me what size hook you used. It looks like a G. Starting my flag today 😀
I used an H/8-5mm. So sorry I should have mentioned it. Have fun making your flag!!
What size hook are you using for the stars?
I used a size 5 mm hook
What size gauge you use for the stars
Hi Rebecca. I didn't use a gauge.
What size hook please
I used a 5mm hook.
thank you for this tutorial ଘ(੭*ˊᵕˋ)੭* ̀ˋ the stars are so cute! ✩‧˚
You're welcome & thank you! ☺️
I can’t
You can't do the star?
@@CherishedMemoriesCrochet yes
I gave up horrible for me sorry it’s only bad for me idk why
Oh no don't give up! I had a hard time with a pattern. With many attempts I just couldn't get it. So I pushed it aside for about a week. I made sure I was stress free lol & tried it again. I got it on the 1st attempt. Never say never in the world of crochet! 😊❤️
@@CherishedMemoriesCrochet oh ok then I will watch it again and try thank you so much ☺️
@@AnayaZafar-kq8gv You're very welcome! Let me know how it goes. I also have a written pattern for my Etsy shop if you think that would help.
