    Thank you for this! This is actually very informative! As someone who wants to own a dressage club, I didn’t know where to start or how I should do it. This gives me a good idea on how to stay organized and run it properly. Do you have any ideas for things to do regarding hangouts or events for clubs? Also in meetings, what exactly would you discuss?

    • @RebeccaRavenbird
      @RebeccaRavenbird  2 роки тому +2

      For events, take a look at the rest of my channel (specifically anything related to Emerald Hunters) for some event ideas! I've posted some really unique ideas that were a lot of fun!
      As for club meetings, we don't really hold meetings that often. For us, meetings are more "administrative" and only hold them if we are making big changes. So for example, if we were to change our club uniform, level requirement, horse requirement, rebranding our club or were having a major issue with a member, we would all get together and discuss.
      Hope this helps!

    Idk how to feel when someone says its just a game there isn't a reason to go into this much detail
    End note that wording is exactly what my old club used to say even after they said they wanted to be elite but you can't be elite with putting in the time and work

    • @RebeccaRavenbird
      @RebeccaRavenbird  3 роки тому +1

      Yes absolutely, whatever you define as "success" or "elite" in your club, you have to put in the work. A lot of work. The details matter, and a lot of club owners are doing great things because they out in the work and look at the details!

  • @nikkizze

    Hello! I want to start a dressage and hangout club and i know what they are like when they are successful since i have been in pretty successful dressage and hangout clubs and i am greatful for those experiences but i have always wanted to make my own club, But i sorta forgot most of the elite moves due to my long break haha- Is there any tips for remembering them? Also, before i make it i wanna ask, would my calender too full to make a club? Since i only have about 2 days with nothing at all, and the rest of the days i have events that happen in the more so late afternoon and night-

    • @RebeccaRavenbird
      @RebeccaRavenbird  2 роки тому

      Hi there, here are my thoughts!
      For remembering elite moves, I definitely recommend making flashcards with diagrams, and then using those cards to practice in-game. Sure you can memorize a definition, but it's when you perform the move in game that you really get a better understanding of how to perform it.
      In terms of your schedule, I would say that you can still make your club, as long as those 2 open days in your schedule are CONSISTENTLY dedicated to SSO events. That way your members can always expect there to be something going on on those days. As your club grows, you may consider recruiting leaders from within your club to begin running activities when you're not available. For example, if you have a member who can always log on Mondays but you can't, and they demonstrate good leadership, you can have them run dressage practice for beginners (again just an example). You'll have to have frequent contact with that person and really make sure you can rely on them to run activities because they need to be able to handle any issues that come up while you're away.
      Hope that helps!

    • @RebeccaRavenbird
      @RebeccaRavenbird  2 роки тому

      @@randolyricx1478 you might want to try writing dressage flashcards! Flash cards are an active recall tool that are highly effective when used correctly. Of course, you will also have to practice in game with your flashcards. And clubs don't have to have comp teams! For us, our comp team is more relaxed where we only participate in 3-5 comps per year or so, while other clubs have a more rigorous schedule competing in 5-8 comps per year or so. However, there dressage clubs are perfectly capable of existing and thriving without competing!
