Nail tech here, actually that’s a peel off base coat meant for the nail plate and if you use it it may be possible that you get a reaction called contact dermatitis that will essentially make you allergic to that product and anything with its ingredients so in other words allergic to anything that goes on your nails cause they’re made with similar chemical properties and same chemicals in some cases. But you aren’t far off this is a trick that people use BUT the product you are looking for is liquid latex, it also comes in a bottle like this but it is safe for people without allergy to latex. But it does the same thing and is safer for your skin and won’t cause those issues. maybe use liquid latex instead of peel off base coat? also u can paint the nail first ( i usually do the bottom color first) then do that ombre effect.

I believe she’s using clear builder gel to attach the nail to her finger. Also don’t use the product she shows for your skin to peel off! That might also cause a reaction, you can instead use liquid latex to avoid reactions!
@@janycebrown4071 very random comment but i just wanted to let you know you could also try out polygel or acrygel to attach the nail it’s less runny and super beginner friendly it might be a product that you’ve heard of before but i just wanted to put it out there incase so you have the best chance possible to create the perfect at home set you are after !!

A tip I’ve learned is to wet the sponge before applying the colors. It helps with the application of the gradient.

Cheap makeup sponges work awesome and you can get at least 4 applications 5 if you cut and use tweezers to stipple the color on

You didn't do it right. You have to use the wide end, and press harder. You get a more seamless blend that way.
