Bravissimi.Bighin GIULIO RENZO
She was already in the middle of 40s. In Giselle(Film version) she was 10 years younger. She was as light as a cotton candy and was flying like a butterfly.
I must disagree with you. Bessmertnova, for me is wonderful in any role. She has a wonderful understated style to her dancing, nothing flashy or over the top, and some of the most perfect port de bras i've ever seen,a true bolshoi ballerina. These qualities are ones that unfortunately, many bolshoi dancers today disregard for garish extension and spaztic arms and hands. (i.e. Natalia Osipova.)
Oh wonderful! This was beautiful! Everything about her! She keeps is so well composed! Her fingers and extensions are so extraordinarily lovely! While turning at 3:30 is PHENOMENAL! I don't know if the violin is just so amazingly played at it fits so well her her incredible acting of seduction and poise sheer evil is breathtaking! I love it! the one and only complaint i have is the lighting is a bit too cheerful for me. But I love this woman! Beautiful!
I've always really enjoyed this version of swan lake with bessmertnova. I think she's a wonderful ballerina. Does anyone know who plays the lesser variations and roles in this ballet. I have this DVD but there are no credits for the smaller dancers at the beginning or end.
I said exceptional because she was different and stop to compare dancers but it's not mean that I don't like maximova , timofeyeva or sorokina, they are amazing
ls not comparation is just putting in evedence differences among different dancers with different qualities besmertnova was a great tragedienne maximova had stronger technique but both them were outstanding for different reasons ,and imo that was the golden age of russian ballet.you are welcome always interesting sharing opinions with balletlovers.
J saw Bessmertnova several Times in live but for me j don't like her Swan-Lake who she danced at Palais des Congrès-Paris ( 1985 ) where j prefered Gabriela Komleva except S-Lake Bessmetnova is for me a fabulous Star Romeo-Juliette Grigorovitch opéra-Paris ( 1977 ) but mostly Bessmetnova is Giselle by her melancholy temperement , also j don't like to see the faces of Mezentzeva or Makarova too near , lyrical without technical demonstrative ( never ) she is the top of Bolchoi 1980' : she's perfect what false ? pity for video Swan-Lake is not the best Bessmetnova ( for me)
I don't understand why everyone is so enamored with her. Her extensions are awful, her feel don't have much arch and that's only if I can actually get my eyes of her floppy limp wrists. Upon watching more, turns off center and knees bent. No
@LaKimmois WELL I SAW LIVE HER AT HER TIME,YOUR DEFINITION GOOD CORYPHE ,MUST SAY IS NOT FAR FROM TRUE,WAS SURELY NOT A GREAT TECHNICYAN,NOT BAD ACTRESS ,BUT BEING WIFE OF GRIGOROVICH SURELY WAS NOT A LITTLE HELP.
@maseratic boychik l had the serious impression that often when she wrote was drunk or under drugs because sometime she was more normal and also must admit that showed a certain knowledge about ballet topic .really a strange matter
absolutely not exceptional obviously at certain levels and if compared at other ballerinas of her generation as maximova timofeyeva or sorokina ,l saw live all these dancers more than one time at their top ,so confirm my opinion.not for this reason was not a great dancer because her hartistry and acting skills were outstanding .
23 years ago on this day the world of ballet lost a real Prince.
Amazing dancer and a gentle, handsome man, Alexandr Bogatyriev.

Fantastic !
I think she's the best black swan! So confident..
Bessmertnova will always be one of the greatest.
Bravo! Bravo! Bravísimo!!
She dances like most people breath. It looks effortless.
She is PERFEKT...!!!! A GODDESS

Fenomenais, incríveis e magníficos!

I liked the way the seated corps de ballet came alive when Odile danced close to them. Bogatryev was incredible.
It’s a beautiful detail. They do it with Siegfried too. 😊
Bogatyrev is sooo good!! I like their both artistry, but love his technique. Bessmertnova I favour in Giselle.
R.I.P Natalia besvertova

FINALLY!!!!!!!, now I respect your opinion kkkkkkkk .

Sorry, but Maximova is not only about technique, she was great actress and charming woman.
surely not great technician!!!!!, are you blind? or your comment is based on stereotypes, her tecnique was exceptional.

You are right. The dancing is definitely inferior now.
I don't understand why everyone is so enamored with her. Her extensions are awful, her feel don't have much arch and that's only if I can actually get my eyes of her floppy limp wrists. Upon watching more, turns off center and knees bent. No
you compared too much with other ballerinas. I only started to like ballet because of her , before that I found boring and cringe.

@maseratic boychik true she was ( l belive la kimmois was a woman ) but now disappaired since long time .do you know what happened ?
