I bought one last year,can’t say I’m impressed with it. I’ve got other ferrex equipment and it’s great,but the strimmer is the reason I’m in the market for a better quality one. I didn’t expect high end quality at that price ,but the shaft doesn’t grip properly so it slides up and down 😤.

I got one new for 12 dollars down from 60 at my local Aldi. It helps that I work there, so I bought one out of three that we had left as soon as we opened 😂

I just grabbed the trimmer+edger version of this, and a 20v blower with batteries and chargers for both out of my local ALDI dumpster. My trimmer/edger has the traditional line instead of the replaceable blades. I'm in the US however, I'm not sure the blades are an option here going to see if maybe I can order some.

It looks like you need to either get some rolls of turf or both top dress the lawn (sand & soil mix) and do something equivalent to a WEED-SEED-FEED. I've seen one or two videos on this area and I'm no specialist, but there's a lot you can do with varying costs - worth spending a bit of time on research to work out the most effective and cost efficient plan that you work on over a few years. A good plan in place for this patch of lawn will save you a bit of cash and get you good results.
Thank you Steven. Yes the lawn has suffered the past few years as I've done various projects which has damaged it. I just need to get round to fixing it now. I plan on using sand, soil, and seed next spring.

Yes, I have seen those.. and purchased some. They're not very good. I did find the German company that makes the originals but with delivery from Germany at €20 it makes them too expensive unless purchased in bulk and resold..
Bought used and looks like the button to pivot the base broke off. No way I can see to tilt it ughh I tried to push a screw driver in the hole but does nothing

I have this but it came fully assembled and ready to use in the USA
Here in the UK they come as a bare unit although it is common these days for tools to be sold as bare units on a particular battery system.

Why wouldn't it include the battery & charger ? This means I have to buy the accessories separately .😡😡😡😡 not impressed w/ THAT idea. 😠😠. Also, it doesn't say here if it does edging as well .😱 I haven't watched the rest of this video yet to find out.
I just found one of these in the garbage but it has wheels on it for the edging, I believe this unit (the one in the video) is just the trimmer.
But you have the expense of having to buy the battery and charger which costs as much as this trimmer....👿👿😠😠😡
Once you have it it will serve you well.... The battery fits all...drill...angle grinder....mitre saw etc

Had ago at the Halloween decorations you show us I did the big bat 4 small ones ghost an some Frankenstein screw them to my pick it fence lots of comments made my night feel good nowing the kids and lot of parents ask about them to so big thanks the sad thing is I killed my jigsaw doing my last bat has I turned it it hit the cable luck me no shock

All other brands include their own charger w/ battery.😱 not impressed w/ the fact ....😡
