great animations! wondering if you think there is a big difference in drawing area between the 11 and 12.9 inch ipad pro (intended use for art and animation)? Also wondering what storage size you would recommend for animation (is the base line 128 GB enough, or is 256 or 512 GB better?)

Wtf its jusy how things like leaves fall. Ik general audiences get impressed easily, but if u go outside and drop a leaf and observe it, its pretty easy to replicate the effect.
You made it look very easy. While me only drawing stickman everytime I run Procreate

I mean, it doesn’t matter what art level you’re at when it cones to animation.
You can still make great animations with simple stick figures, besides he makes it look easy because he practiced, followed tutorials and honed his craft.
You can also do that if you put the time and effort into creating what you want, I believe in you and you should as well. It’ll be no good to be self-deprecating when you have a goal in mind! :D

All you have to do is draw an imperfect circle and hold and it then becomes a perfect circle

4:28 How do you do this?! Do you have to manually animate the pattern going across the sphere? What was that thing about duplicating the pattern? Does anyone know how? I would really like to be able to do it myself! Thanks! 👍
This was 10 months ago so you might’ve figured it out by now, but here’s my attmept at explaining what happened.
First how to duplicate something. I know of 2 different ways to do this. 1. Simply go to your layers, swipe right on layer of your choice and select “Duplicate”.
2. (Especially useful if you don’t want to duplicate the entire layer) Tap the S shaped icon on the top left of your screen and circle the part you want to select. Then go over to the little tool icon, under “Add” there is an option called “Copy”. Select copy, tap the S shaped icon again to un-select the part you circled & press “Paste”.
For both ways you can move around the duplicated part using the mouse icon.
Now what I think happend in the animation.
So say the pink circle is on layer 1. Then the shadows & highlights etc were on a 3rd layer, with a clipping mask on the 1st layer. (If you don’t know what a clipping mask is there are plenty of great videos here that can explain !) The pattern was drawn & then duplicated & moved to the rights spot. Then, the patterns layer was moved to the 2nd layer, so visible on the pink circle, but underneath the shading.
English is not my first language so please don’t refrain from asking any questions if something remains unclear, hope this helped!! :)

Alex Kunchevsky 3 years... I’ve got an animation app on my iPad that I’ve made a few quick sequences on, but they’e kind of choppy, and I’ve only had the app for about a month

@@criminallyinsane9430 Choppy animations are fine when you just started! Just do it again and again. Also, I found useful the video "12 principles of animation", it's like a compilation of all what you need to know to start animating. Good luck!

How can you do an animation in procreate? I use the app too but never stumbled across an animation option.
Or do you just use thousands of layers and put the pictures/frames together in another program?

Be sure to get the most recent app update!
To animate make sure you have the latest software update and then update procreate then in the canvas option you’ll see an animation option

I bought an iPad Pro based solely on your fantastic work! Planning to mix 3d modelling and animation with 2D animation. I've bought some books on creating cel animation but is there any books you would suggest for good animation in 2D? Thanks for posting these too!
Sounds like a great plan for 2020! I'm not a huge fan of books, I only can suggest to practice as much as possible ✍️
