18:22 Carbon sticks = Brushes. Where the brushes touch the rotor = commutator (not to be confused with communist). The rotor is actually the armature... Seriously though, you guys do an amazing job of doing these videos in English and I appreciate being able to follow along. I've learned so much. Thank you!

Thanks you! Brushes... i should've known that. XD
The technical English terms are sometimes hard to know, especially on the fly.
We love to show people our passion, being able to do it in English means we can do that to a wider group of people.
So we'll keep on fighting for words, and inserting "Nederlands" when we don't know the correct therms :P

Thank's for this training video. It's obviously easy to change the starter. (I did that in the last time on my D6207 Tractor twice.) I hope I don't have to do that for my U404, since I have an early one that needs a DC starter. Probably not easy to find a spare.
That there is to unplug the + from the Battery I could have told you - why didn't you ask 🙂. Doesn't your Unimog have the battery main switch?

Yeah we obvious weren't awake well enough before starting to tear in to it. after moving the unimog a bit we simply forgot to to turn off the main switch... i know, i know... shocking, but at least it was kinda entertaining XD

That woke me up that morning XD
We forgot to disconnect the battery, and Odin started to remove the positive wire. the spanner that touched the chasis and tada! Fireworks. we should've had more coffee before starting the disassembly :P
