Plus legends don't care so much about game of skate contests. Not that it matters much, but even if relating to contests, I think Shane already won that SLS "supercrown"
no bs crybaby shit.. that kid jumped while the greatest skater on the planet tried a trick.. shane is the best hands down, thats the only way he would lose but he still lost.. on some jock shit
Nobock actually it looks like Shane was practicing those hardflip variations. He landed the regular hardflip, got close to the hardflip backside revert, and could've got lucky with a frontside revert on that last one. He just wasn't lucky this round.
Regular hardflip was almost a fail and he clearly don't have switch hardflip. So when you miss a nollie flip ( wich is HIS TRICK, check his 99.99% nollie flip noseslide / crook on street league ) and you are against SEWA ( aka Mr hardflip ) you can't nerd a nollie bigspin late flip 3 times... Sewa can almost 100% 8 hardflip tricks and shane mostly 2... By the way thats how joslin win, cause the other guy was nerding some late flip and joslin land it first after 3 / 4 tries. A skate is very strategic at this level you need to know wich trick your opponent dont have. Im 400% sure sewa practiced gays to have the switch double treflip and it pay off. If i was shane i will be pratice at least the 4 hardflip for a 90% make even no pop no style. ps : I knew shane lose after the nollie flip miss and the late flip cause i know he will focusing on it and sewa focusing on hardflips and shane don't have those. Clear like cristal !
Ya can't blame him for continuing to try and land that. He had Sewa to T so he only needed him to miss one more trick and he almost certainly would've missed it if Shane would've landed it. When you get them to T, that's when you go for the throat with a hard trick you know they won't land. It's a roll of the dice to land it yourself but that's what you have to do when playing someone at the same skill level as yourself.
sebastian perez I think he just doesn't really care, he makes some of the best video parts and has established himself as one of the best skaters to ever live. I bet he has zero interest in learning a hardflip front 180 on flat.
Shane came swinging like a monster in the beginning which was impressive and intimidating, then Sewa came back at him with that epic comeback ... These two uploads have been spectacular.
I love watching pros compete against Sewa, they always pull out the most insane late flip variations because nobody knows what else to do against him, dude’s got everything else on lock 😂😂😂
Went back to watch this.. sewa on K.. definitely a big moment in his career. He went on to make it to finals many more times after.. Shane got pretty close few times, but he’s won the big comps.. this is definitely sewas game, along with manny mania. But new gen on flat ground has a lot of weird tricks, sewa has preserved a lot of the classic tech from the 90s, making him one of the greatest. I’m a huge sewa fan and still waiting for his nine club interview. I wonder if he’s working on any new parts, any of his content is so pure & quality
@@gaetanmermetgrandfille nah, this ain’t even close. Angry Shane would be his BATB6 3rd place battle vs Mike Mo. I know for sure that he was mad. Prolly because someone from the crowd yelled “fvck Shane O’Neill” several times.
Man, I would have been so hyped is they convinced Rodney to play someone in an exhibition match in the finals, no rules. In a perfect world have Rodney vs Daewon.
3 takeaways: 1.) Shane tends to get caught up on one trick a lot during competitions. That nollie big spin lateflip sealed his fate. Woulda been dope though. 2.) That guy jumping in front of Shane O'Neill during his first attempt at the last trick really fucked him up and Shane should have had an automatic redo for that. Jumper dude was quick to remember to call out Malto for his manual shit in the rules but maybe they should make a new rule about trick interference and use him as an example lol 3.) Sewa is an absolute beast and totally deserves the victory nonetheless. Great game
At one point in the competition A hand down was a miss. Why have rules if you're not gonna follow em? E.g. Chris and two do overs. And I quote from the rules, "Offencive toe drag gets one do over."
i mean i think what's happening is that not all sketchy tricks are equal. what i mean is that when tucker put his hands down he practically planted them and used them to support himself. when joslin did it, he just quickly touched the ground with both hands, which was effectively the equivalent of a toe drag. and joslin wasn't asked to rebate on the basis of toe drag with the fs shuv late flip, it was because he over rotated it, so it wasn't clean.
i just watched the game again and it's not for toe drag or over rotation. it's heel drag if anything and that's not very dirt at all for the most part.
Staffan Person What do you think a hand plant is, is it not a hand on the ground? And at one point in BATB10 a hand on the ground was a miss. But we all know the rules change all the time.
Shane had three tries to finish Sewa, and kept trying that amazing trick. I think that he could have done the half cab late shuv, an easier trick for him, but that would get Sewa, and probabily Shane would win the final against Joslin
I was laying in my bed cooked watching this stream and when Sewa got that T i was like shits games mans gonna get skunked and then he gets shane to T and im like fuck shits kicking off and he won and i pissed the bed
cuz hardflips are gæ thats why, plus, I am guessing he just doesnt like how that trick feels as much as when he was younger cuz from footy that I saw he used to do a lot of them, he does some insane shit nowadays
It was fucked up that, that guy jumped but technically he did get a redo and a third redo wouldn't have mattered because Shane can't do the trick anyway
Don't get me wrong I fucking love BATB!!! And I understand, if you weren't there you can't say anything, but the crowd needa chill like I can't enjoy watching this while every damn attempt everyone is saying oooooh and ahhhh like damn bro!!!! Every goddamn batb finals are the same!
They should implement a rule that allows you to get an ekstra attempt to do a land a trick on defence. You choose when you use it, but you can only use it once during the game (except on the last letter). This would make games longer and more interesting
i think shane cares way to much about winning to actually win, his body language speaks for itself, hes so impatient he cant even let sewa pick up his board first before taking his turn
Rusty Shackleford I bet it's frustrating for him because he made it to finals night 3 times now and never succeeded in winning the whole thing. I want Shane to win so bad but he has to keep his calm and stay focused. He had this match in the bag but he kept going for that bigspin late flip. It cost him.
They really just let that dude jump in Shane's way? No removal of his ass from the building? No redo for Shane? Wow. Then he proceeds to ask for applause like he did something good. Disappointed in the berrics for letting that just happen. I have no horse in this race but he was clearly robbed.
4:11 he should have been allowed a re-do on that first attempt due to that idiot putting him off by jumping up right in front of him. How in the hell was that just ignored?
For all the people saying that sewa always ends the games with Hardflip Fs 180 , let's not forget Moses Adams did it first try on defense . So it is possible
Must be cool seeing the entire world compete with tricks you invented in your garage when you were 14 (Rodney Mullen)
I thought something similar when I saw him there.
I would love to see one of these guys play a round of skate against Rodney Mullen.
Louie Vito he pioneered them
@@jamesfru118 He sure did.
@@jamesfru118 You must be new to the skateboarding world
Shane probably would have won. But his skater mentality got the best of him. He wanted to land that late flip so bad.
Jordan Saetern yeup

I have respect for him trying, if he wouldve landed it no one would be saying he shouldve changed the truck due to the risk.

Yea the dude at 4:11 jumping did that on purpose, that is so wack, he clearly was trying to screw over Shane, not cool. :(
Two years have passed and I still hate that guy so hard
Myself
Yup...still even more of a loser in 2020 lockdown 👎
Most hated guy in skateboarding, what was he even doing at The Berrics? Whose loose dog is that?
That looked like Dominic walker from element hmmm nyjah teammate hmmm but also teammate of shane on Nike Sb. Conspiracy 🤔
When Sewa landed the Switch Double Tre and the backside biggerspin I knew it was far from over 🔥🔥🔥
One of the greatest BATB comebacks I've ever seen!
Jett Chebry totaly messed up shanes mind
shame joslin raped him
I thought for sure Shane was about to put the nail in the coffin with that signature trick.
Great comeback!!!
When Shane got the letter E i knew it was over
Whew them hard flips ate him up 🤢
his achilles heel...
rodney's just sitting there like
"I MADE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE TRICKS"
respect the confidence and comeback, Sewa is a cold blooded beast
iBadSanta if he was so cold blooded he wouldn't have let joslin beat him yesterday or called him self out
well, gratz to joslin, but i was talking bout this game particularly
dude!!! Shane deserved a do over since that guy got in his way!!

Oh i got it! That was you!
That was one of the hardest starts of SKATE I've ever seen. Props to Shane, almost took out Sewa with his first 8 tricks
Shane should have left that late flip alone after more than one missed attempt. Love both of these skaters though
Mike Bickley Fishing especially when he can't hardflip and against sewa

Why did Verra blow the whistle on Sewa for hand down when he was on T and had another try anyway?
because if he didn't land it the next try he would still have another try for last trick rebate.

Yeah I’m surprised Berra of all people let that slide since he didn’t give a redo for Joslin or Luan during their championship battle
1:13 rock paper scissors
they use roshambo in game of skate which is basically the same as rock paper scissors
