ROCKY'S ITALY: Florence - The Basilica of Santa Trinita

Built in the late 13th century, the Basilica of Santa Trinita in Florence, Italy, is not as famous as other churches in the city but is just as rich in art and history. While the interior is Gothic in style, the façade is a celebrated piece of Mannerist architecture. Located within is the beautiful Sassetti Chapel with frescoes by Domenico Ghirlandaio which include portraits of several Medici family members.
