Who the hell do Michael Alig and Ernie Glam think they are? Michael Alig spearheaded a countercultural youth movement based on the concept of the Warholian "anti-Celebrity" and became King of the Club Kids before inspiring the film Party Monster, starring Macaulay Culkin. He is currently painting masterpieces of artwork; working on his autobiography, Aligula; designing a club kid-inspired clothing line called Skroddleface; directing a NYC art collective called Countdown and recording a new dance single. One of the original club kids, Ernie Glam is a journalist and irreverent talk show host by day, Underground clothing designer and stylist-to-the-stars by night; catch him - -if you can get past the red velvet ropes -- at the city's hottest nightclubs and parties.

7:10 New York clubs closing at 4am?? That's way too early.
I read something about London recently and the author said that London clubs close at 2. That's just ridiculous. London clubs always closed at 6am when I went to them 20 years ago. Unless they went on extra-late. In which case they shut at 7 or 8. Trade club started at 4am and went on past midday. There used to be a party called The Warp in 1999 which lasted 24 hours: 10pm Saturday to 10pm Sunday. Now that's what I call civilised.

As a straight male I have no idea why I watch you guys lol. One thing I do t get Michael you seemed to have making good money back then and to murder someone for money is puzzling. Was there more behind it? I have to think that money was not the only issue. Am I wrong. Those 90s parties are missed. Just walking into a party and hearing that familiar thumbing was just awesome. Frankie bones was just that Dj that made the scene. Why don’t you give more credit to that man who did do so much for the rave scene. I remember doing lines in the palladium chairs. Wondering the tunnels mirrored hallway and limelight’s upstairs. For me it started st culture club. Remember that club it was the first on the scene where the decor started the scene. Who out there remembers the 90s and even At that age saying to yourself this is going to be the best of my life. I will never have more fun then this. I was 15-16 and I knew life at that point was carefree and totally awesome. I was right. Life would have its good times and bad times but those days were unique and I miss being free, friendly and expressing myself. Now I’m older and look back on how life was.
Michael I just want to say I give you a lot of credit on being an open book for your fans. Keep being you and I hope you much success. Put out your own movie based on facts.or a movie based on you but your imagination has its own reality. Have your thoughts be narrative on how you thought and lived. I'm guessing he gets drug tested as part of the conditions of his release from prison, and can't do anything other than prescription medication. Ernie is so patient. I don’t know why I am attracted to this podcast. I am of that age that I could have gone to the limelight in the early 1990’s. I lived in East Rutherford NJ at that time. Easy breezy to party there. But, I HATE EDM music. I also had a full time job. . I have been offered ecstasy I would say at least 100 times for free to try. I would not do it. I did blotter acid once in NYC......It was horrible. I hallucinated and prayed to god if he kept me alive I would never touch it again. I did love mescaline. Cocaine fabulous. Never Meth. But hearing that Michael Alig pissed in peoples drinks. If you were not a “Club Kid” it was not a good scene. I love Ernie. He is a good man. I loved The Ritz and CBGB’s. Mr Alig, I am tired of people talking shit to you about your mistake. People all want forgiveness but they dont know how to give it. I wish you all the success and as far as anyone is considered you paid and people need to let it go. I am straight and like Trump and think alot of people get him wrong and whatever. I think all people deserve homes, food, medical and misc but people for their own benefit are willing to give it to anyone not in this country.
