The last time I saw Phil was when Slayer and Pantera toured together on what was Pantera’s last tour. Saw two shows on that leg and they killed it. Great to see Phil doing this and help see Slayer off 🤘🏻
i was crowd surfing in GA that night during Walk i was thrown on my neck and my boot came over my head and knocked out a security guard. If anyone has that video please post it , i went right back in the pit after. they sent me to medical in fear i broke my neck, i also chucked my sweatshirt up there for Phil
Necks been stiff as a board all the way to my ears and throat since. As a 21 year old i’ve been waiting far 2 long for this moment and had go all out. Thank you tho
Cry About It wait dude did you go to the ER? Also were you the guy with your girlfriend that we took the picture with? You were trying to get me alcohol?
@@cryaboutit6643 wait so ur the dude from upstate new york. But the girl you were with was wearing that weed leaf pantera shirt? I'm just making sure, because it would be quite the coincidence if I found you online randomly.
Never thought I’d see this song live. Fists being thrown & broken noses being the result, during this song. During their whole set really but during this song ESPECIALLY
@@crawlingamongthestars3736 moshing IS a good thing. I broke my nose at an Avenged Sevenfold concert and STILL stayed in the pit after. Sometimes it's good to get out your anger in a safe way like beating the fucking shit out of each other in a mosh pit.
Fists and broken noses, welcome to a Pantera show. I know this isn't a Pantera show, but Phil doing Pantera songs in an arena is as close as you'll get, and that is definitely a small taste of what actual Pantera shows were like. Pantera were the Action Park of concerts: they were dangerous, you risked be taken out on a stretcher, but the danger is what made it thrilling.
Rudolph Drasler I've been into metal in one form or another for almost 20 years. Been to a lot of shows. Never seemed like a good idea for me to beat the shit out of somebody, or to get the shit beat out of me, just for the sake of releasing anger. There are other, safer ways to release anger, like just listening to the music itself, for instance, or hitting a heavy bag, or exercising, being creative, whatever. A person can DIE "moshing" (I have less of a problem with moshing than I do with actual punches and kicks being thrown, but moshing is obviously still dangerous), you can break your bones, you can get brain damage. Hell, even just headbanging, done hard and for long enough, probably isn't good for a person, probably can fuck up their brain, neck, spine... Believe me, I'm REALLY into metal, I listen to death, black, doom, whatever, and I play metal too myself, on guitar, but I think there's a lot of bullshit and baggage that comes along with it in the general culture, like the violence at shows, certain mentalities and attitudes, etc. No disrespect to you in particular, and obviously I can't stop people from doing these things, but at the same time, I don't have to agree with them, and I can express my opinion as such, so... Good day to you sir. Enjoy your metal.
Cody Traweek Yes, I know what Pantera shows were like. If you want my general opinion, read what I already posted in response to Mr. Rudolph Drasler. I just don't feel like repeating myself.
They arent trying to do dime. Different guitars and setup..just illegals playing Pantera. Seen them live twice this year..it was great. Dime was sloppy as fuck live sometimes to be honest..too much black tooth grin
Brazilian crowds are the most active when phil goes there c'mon people lets get fucking crazy lets show brazil we can fucking get crazy too this is muthafucking MSG for fucks sakes!!!
No one moshes anymore, everyone is on their fucking cell phone. I have a phone, too, but come on. I get taking a pic or three but to stand there and just record and not even be a part of the experience fucks up my experience. I'm surprised no one at these shows broke any of those phones. They can just say they were moshing and it was an accident.
Phil was great!! I was there and he was so great.. so much better than I could ever have hoped!! Great PANTERA tribute ♡♡♡

Doesn't really sound like a good thing, other than the song being played, and Phil sounding decent singing it...

Phil has gained some weight and lost some dynamic range. Still give me goose bumps though. Oh I see it was the encore song... makes sense.
Fukk Yes!!!
thank you, very much appreciated. The guitarists did well, just no dimebag , and phil could have sang the main chorus part at least once.

You have to understand that Phil isn’t exactly the same Phil from 2 decades ago
4:46 rip in the pit
This is like kindergarden in comparison with the golden years of Pantera
🤘😈🤘
